Inspection Reason

Due to strict regulations, the trading volume of domestic exchanges in South Korea has fallen sharply. The development of these exchanges has faltered. As a result, domestic blockchain companies are scrambling to list on overseas exchanges. In order to help investors better understand the country’s cryptocurrency exchanges, the inspection team went to Souel for a field visit.

Inspection Process

The business visited this time is btrade, a cryptocurrency exchange, whose address is 4th Floor, 570 Samsung Road, Gangnam District, Seoul, South Korea.

The inspection personnel arrived at the destination, an office building at 570 Samsung Road, Gangnam District, very close to Exit 5 of Samsung Central Subway Station. The traffic is very convenient and there are many tall buildings nearby. 

After the investigators entered the building, the logo of btrade could be clearly seen on the directory sign in the lobby, which indicated that its office was on the 4th floor.

Inspection Summary

The investigators went to Seoul for a visit to the cryptocurrency exchange btrade and confirmed  that its office does exist at the alleged office building. Investors are advised to choose this exchange after full consideration.
