Reason for this visit

So there are plenty of cryptocurrency exchanges in Japan, as well as many overseas exchanges seeking to access the market. In order to help investors to get a more comprehensive understanding of the country's cryptocurrency exchanges, the survey team will go to Japan for on-site visits to local exchanges.

On-site visit

In this issue, the investigation team went to Tokyo, Japan to visit the cryptocurrency exchange bitFlyer (licensee: bitFlyer Co., Ltd.) as planned according to its registered regulatory address that Midtown Tower Building, 9-7-1 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo.

The survey team arrived at the destination on March 1, 2023, where Midtown Tower Building was situated in a prosperous area of Roppongi, and spotted that the company was located on the 33rd floor from the company directory of the office building. Unfortunately, people weren’t allowed to pay a special visit without a permission from the reception desk. Therefore, the survey personnel failed to reach the target floor.

Conclusion

The survey personnel went to Tokyo, Japan to visit the cryptocurrency exchange bitFlyer as scheduled, and found the company’s physical business office at its registered regulatory address. Unluckily, the team were not able to enter the company for a special visit, so the specific scale of its business is unknown. Investors are advised to make a sensible choice based on a comprehensive consideration.
