Reason for this visit

According to data collected by Japan's Financial Services Agency (FSA), there are approximately 3.5 million cryptocurrency investors in Japan, and the trading volumn exceeds $100 billion annually.

Japan’s regulation over the cryptocurrency exchanges (dealers) is worthy of reference for many countries around the world. In order to help investors get a more comprehensive understanding of the country's cryptocurrency dealers (exchanges), the survey team will go to Japan for on-site visits.

On-site visit

This time the survey team visited the cryptocurrency exchange FXcoin Ltd. in Tokyo, Japan, with specific address at Sumitomo Fudosan Roppongi Grand Tower XXF, 3-2-1 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo.

According to the above address, this building is Sumitomo Fudosan Roppongi Grand Tower, which is also the office location of choice for many famous companies, such as TV Tokyo.

The name of the cryptocurrency exchange FXcoin Ltd. was clearly visible on the building's floor directory, which indicated that the exchange was based on the 10th floor of the building.

Conclusion

The survey team went to Tokyo, Japan to visit the cryptocurrency exchange FXcoin Ltd., and found that the exchange truly has a business premise at the official business address shown. However, the team were not allowed to enter the office, so the exact business scale of the dealer is unknown. That’s all for this session of Field Survey.
