Announcement on Suspending Classic Accounts Trading Service on January 26

  Dear OKX Customers:

  Unified accounts have withstood many extreme market events and have provided exceptional stability. Over 99.9% of our users have voluntarily shifted to unified accounts. OKX plans to completely suspend classic accounts service on 9am January 26, 2022 (UTC). Users will be banned from trading in classic accounts (unified accounts will not be affected). For users who still hold positions or loans, please make sure to clear your positions in classic accounts prior to January 26 (futures, perpetual, options users), and return crypto (margin users) in order to ensure the safety of your positions and funds. OKX will cancel all orders for futures, perpetual and options in Classic accounts, and the forced repayment will be triggered if users fail to repay borrowed crypto assets in classic accounts. Users wont be able to operate classic accounts after January 26 and your positions will finally be migrated to Unified account. The specific rules are as follows:

  1. The positions in Classic accounts will be migrated to isolated positions in Unified account by default. 2. If the original position in classic account is an isolated position, after hedging the long and short positions of the same contract in the classic account, the net position will be migrated to the unified account with original average open price. The opening time will be recorded as the migration time. 3. If the original position in classic account is a cross position, after hedging the long and short positions of the same contract in the classic account, the net position will be closed at the mark price of migration time in Classic accounts. At the same time, the isolated position of the unified account is opened at the mark price, and the opening time will be recorded as the migration time. 4. The assets in classic account will be migrated to the isolated margin balance and currency balance of the unified account accordingly. Prior to officially suspending classic accounts trading service, we encourage users to migrate to unified accounts and close classic accounts through "one-click migration".
