Coinbase Whales Blocking XRP Price Volatility as Analyst Predicts Outlook for September

Abstract:Key Insights: XRP price faces whale sell walls at $1.53, $1.60, and $1.70 as Coinbase activity limits sharp moves. XRP whales ended a five-day net selling

Key Insights:

  • XRP price faces whale sell walls at $1.53, $1.60, and $1.70 as Coinbase activity limits sharp moves.
  • XRP whales ended a five-day net selling streak with a return to net buying before slight selling resumed.
  • Ripple coin posted a 36.9% August gain, raising attention on its historical September performance.

XRP price remained in focus as Coinbase whales placed buy and sell walls around the market, limiting sharp moves. Market analyst EGRAG Crypto also highlighted XRPs strong August performance, noting that history could give the Ripple coin a bullish setup for September.

XRP Price Faces Whale Walls At Key Levels

The XRP price was facing resistance from large orders linked to Coinbase whales, according to market commentary shared on social media. These whales were said to be placing sell and buy walls on both sides of the market, helping to limit sudden price swings.

The activity suggested that large holders were playing a role in keeping XRP within a tighter range rather than allowing a sharp move in either direction. According to the post, whale sell walls were also visible at $1.53, $1.60, and $1.70.

However, the price targets and levels presented in this article are based on technical analysis and should not be interpreted as guarantees of future market performance. Given the high volatility of the crypto market, readers are encouraged to conduct their own research or seek advice from a qualified financial professional before making any investment decisions.

These levels could become important if buying pressure increases. A strong move toward them would put the XRP price in front of areas where large sell orders had reportedly been placed. On the other hand, the presence of buy walls below the market could provide support if selling pressure picks up.

The latest activity came as XRP returned to net buying after five straight days of net selling. The shift was highlighted as an important change in the market flow, although the asset was showing slight net selling at the time of the update.

The post also pointed to the United States trading session as the main area to watch. According to the update, the stronger market movement was expected to become clearer during US trading hours.

XRP Whales Keep Market Movement In Check

The role of XRP whales has become a key part of the current market discussion because their orders can affect short-term price movement. In this case, the reported buy and sell walls appeared to be keeping the market from making large moves in either direction.

The reported sell walls at $1.53, $1.60, and $1.70 gave traders several price levels to watch. However, the posts did not confirm whether those walls would remain in place or whether they would be changed as market conditions developed.

At the same time, the return to net buying offered a different signal from the five-day selling run. XRP had recorded net buying the previous day, ending the consecutive selling trend. The latest session had only shown slight net selling, leaving the US trading period as a point of interest.

This meant the XRP price was being watched from both sides. Large sell orders could slow an upward move, while buy walls could reduce the speed of a decline.

Ripple Coin Enters September With Bullish Historical Data

The outlook for the Ripple coin was also linked to its August performance. Analyst EGRAG Crypto reported that XRP was up 36.9% in August 2026 at the time of the post. That placed the month as the third strongest August performance in XRP history based on the figures shared.

The two stronger August performances listed were 2021, with a 58.9% gain, and 2017, with a 45.2% gain. The historical average for August was given as a 2.6% gain, while August 2023 was listed as the weakest period at a 26.8% decline.

The analyst also pointed to past September performances. The strongest September results listed were 2018 and 2013, both at 73.4%, followed by 2016 at 56.2%.

More importantly, the data showed that when August closed green, September also followed green 66.7% of the time. When August closed red, September followed red 85.7% of the time.

EGRAG Crypto noted that 2026 was an even-numbered year, yet August had already become one of XRPs strongest historical August periods. If the month closed in positive territory, the historical figures would give September a bullish statistical lean.

Still, the data only showed a historical pattern and did not guarantee how the XRP price would perform next month. For now, traders were watching whale activity, the shift back to net buying, and the final August close for clues about what could come next.
