Bitcoin ETF Flows Swing Back Positive as BTC Jumps Above $81K

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) ended the past five trading days almost exactly where they started, with strong inflows at the beginning and end of the period offsetting a sharp two-day wave of withdrawals.

According to Farside Investors, spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $159.9 million in net inflows on Sept. 14 before sentiment deteriorated sharply. Investors pulled $450.4 million from the funds on Sept. 15, followed by another $295.9 million on Sept. 16. That brought the two-day outflow total to roughly $746.3 million.

Demand then returned. The ETFs attracted $159.5 million on Sept. 17 before inflows accelerated to $433 million on Sept. 18, the strongest daily reading of the five-session period.

Altogether, the funds recorded approximately $6.1 million in net inflows across the five trading days.

Fidelity‘s FBTC was the standout on Sept. 18 after attracting $310.7 million, while BlackRock’s IBIT added another $108.4 million. IBIT also recorded $183.7 million in inflows on Sept. 17 after experiencing sizeable withdrawals during the previous two sessions.

Bitcoin Rebounds From Below $76K

The volatile ETF flows coincided with a major swing in Bitcoins price. BTC began the week trading around the upper-$70,000 range and briefly climbed above $79,000 before coming under heavy pressure. By Sept. 15 and Sept. 16, Bitcoin fell below $76,000, with the decline occurring alongside the two large ETF outflow sessions.

The trend reversed later in the week. Bitcoin recovered above $77,000 on Sept. 17 before surging past $80,000 around Sept. 18 as institutional inflows returned.

Bitcoin then remained comparatively resilient over the weekend. After trading around $81,000-$81,500, BTC briefly slipped toward the low-$80,000 range before recovering again. By early Sunday, the cryptocurrency was trading around $81,000.

Last week‘s performance therefore paints a mixed but improving picture. ETF investors briefly moved aggressively to reduce exposure, but almost all of those withdrawals were replaced by the end of the week. At the same time, Bitcoin’s recovery from below $76,000 to above $81,000 suggests that demand strengthened considerably heading into the weekend.
