LTC MWEB Vulnerability: 13 Block Reorg and Market Impact

Tech LTC MWEB Vulnerability: 13 Block Reorg and Market Impact The Litecoin network encountered an unexpected security vulnerability over the weekend; the attacker transferred coins to decentralized exchanges using a zero-day flaw in the MimbleWimble Extension Block (MWEB) privacy layer. The network resolved the issue by performing a 13-block reorganization (reorg) that deleted these invalid transactions. The official X account confirmed the incident on Saturday and shared details of the DoS attack affecting mining pools. Miners quickly switched to the error-free blockchain version, preventing the attacker from profiting. Litecoin update: • A zero-day bug caused a DoS attack that disrupted major mining pools. • Non-updated mining nodes allowed an invalid MWEB transaction allowing them to peg out coins to third party DEXs • A 13-block reorg reversed those invalid transactions — they will not… — Litecoin (@litecoin) April 25, 2026 Technical Details of the LTC MWEB Zero-Day Vulnerability MWEB was integrated into Litecoin as an optional privacy feature proposed in 2019. The MimbleWimble protocol enhances privacy by hiding transaction amounts and addresses, but the zero-day bug allowed invalid peg-out transactions on old nodes. With an average block time of 2.5 minutes, the 13-block reorg rewrote approximately 32.5 minutes of chain. The attacker aimed to produce orphan blocks by disrupting

Solana clients test Falcon as quantum security debate grows

Solana validator clients Anza and Firedancer have introduced a test version of Falcon, a post-quantum signature solution built to prepare the network for future quantum risks.Anza and Firedancer added early Falcon versions to prepare Solana for possible future quantum attacks.Jump Crypto said Falcon-512 has the smallest signature among selected NIST post-quantum standards. The teams said Falcon can protect Solana without causing major network performance issues. The update comes as blockchain developers assess how quantum computers may affect public-key cryptography. Falcon aims to give Solana a ready option if stronger quantum protection becomes needed. Anza and Firedancer said Falcon was designed for high-throughput blockchain use. The teams said it can be activated “if and when the time comes,” referring to the possible point when quantum computers can break current encryption systems. Jump Crypto, the team behind Firedancer, said Falcon-512 offers the smallest signature among post-quantum signature standards selected by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology. Smaller signatures may help Solana protect speed, bandwidth, and storage efficiency. Jump Crypto says performance should remain stable The teams said the migration process would be manageable and fast when required. They also said network performance should not face a major change from the shift. “The migration work is manageable, the

NZD/USD slips as US-Iran tensions support USD; focus remains on FOMC

Finance NZD/USD slips as US-Iran tensions support USD; focus remains on FOMC The NZD/USD pair struggles to capitalize on its strong gains registered over the past two days and attracts some sellers during the Asian session on Tuesday. Spot prices move away from the 0.5920-0.5925 horizontal resistance, touched the previous day, though the downside remains cushioned amid mixed cues. The US Dollar (USD) attracts some safe-haven flows amid the uncertainty surrounding the second round of US-Iran peace talks and turns out to be a key factor undermining the NZD/USD pair. Hopes for diplomatic efforts to end the Iran war receded after US President Donald Trump canceled his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner‘s planned visit to Pakistan. Moreover, Trump is reportedly dissatisfied with Iran’s new proposal on resolving the war, which would set ‌aside discussion of Irans nuclear program. Furthermore, the US-Iran standoff over the Strait of Hormuz keeps geopolitical risks in play and assists the USD to regain some positive traction. In fact, traffic through the strategic waterway remains blocked due to Irans restrictions on movements and the US naval blockade of Iranian ports. The USD bulls, however, seem hesitant ahead of the crucial two-day FOMC meeting, starting this Tuesday. The US Federal

SUI Alternative DeFi Crypto TradeView Branches Into Live Streaming Trading Perps, Analysts Anticipate $100B New Market

Why Live Streaming Changes The Market Direction Every existing perp DEX competes for the same traders using the same basic feature set: order books, leverage, and charts. TradeView‘s live streaming feature expands the addressable market by pulling in users who currently watch trading content on YouTube and Twitch but don’t trade on DEXs because the experience feels isolating and intimidating. The best crypto presale projects create new user categories rather than fighting over existing ones. Live streaming with verified execution turns passive content viewers into active platform users, and that conversion is where the $100 billion new market estimate originates. Presale Position And Whats Ahead $TVX at $0.015 stepping to $0.02 has raised over $180,000 with distributed participation. The 34% presale allocation, vested team tokens, and zero transaction tax are structural choices designed for post-listing sustainability. The best crypto presale list in 2026 increasingly features projects with this combination of product differentiation and structural protection. SUI will continue building Layer 1 infrastructure that the broader ecosystem needs. TradeView is building the trading layer that sits on top of that infrastructure, targeting a $100 billion market that live streaming trading perps could unlock. The best crypto presale entry at $0.015 offers exposure to that category creation at a

Stablecoins Reshape Global Finance with Onchain Infrastructure

Stablecoins are quickly becoming the backbone of a new global financial system, moving beyond their crypto-native roots to power payments, credit, and market infrastructure. According to a16z cryptos latest analysis, stablecoins are redefining banking and finance through onchain infrastructures, allowing seamless financial products without legacy intermediaries. With over $316 billion in market cap (April 2026), stablecoins have evolved from trading instruments into essential financial plumbing. Their ability to combine account, payment, FX, and credit primitives into end-to-end services is transforming how businesses and individuals interact with money. New Era for Banking and Payments a16z highlights a structural shift in the banking-as-a-service (BaaS) model. Traditional BaaS relied on fintechs integrating legacy banking systems. Now, onchain infrastructure enables companies to operate with self-custodial wallets, reducing reliance on intermediaries and opening access to global services. Stripe‘s acquisition of Bridge and Mastercard’s purchase of BVNK are signs that financial incumbents are racing to secure their positions in this new ecosystem. These moves underscore the urgency to adapt before the onchain stack solidifies as the industry standard. Emerging Blockchain Categories Not all blockchains are competing for the same use cases. Three distinct categories have emerged:General-purpose chains (e.g., Ethereum, Solana): Continue to dominate DeFi and crypto capital markets.Payments-focused blockchains (e.g., Stripe‘s Tempo,

XRP price: What next as Ripple-linked token drops under $1.40

XRP finally gave way at $1.40, and the way it broke matters more than the move itself. This wasn‘t a slow drift lower. It was a high-volume push that cleared a level buyers had defended for weeks. Once that kind of support goes, it usually doesn’t snap back quickly. It tends to flip, and thats exactly the test now. News Background • Bitcoin dominance pushed toward 60%, reinforcing a rotation out of altcoins and limiting follow-through demand for XRP. • The multi-month triangle structure that had been compressing price finally resolved, with the move breaking lower instead of triggering the expected upside expansion. Price Action Summary • XRP dropped from $1.44 to $1.39, breaking cleanly through the $1.40 support zone. • The move was driven by a sharp spike in participation, not thin liquidity. • Price is now stabilizing just below the breakdown level, trading in a tight $1.39–$1.40 range. Technical Analysis • The key shift is structural. $1.40 was support, now its resistance unless reclaimed quickly. • Volume expanding into the breakdown confirms real selling pressure, not just positioning noise. • The triangle pattern that held price for weeks has resolved lower, removing the compression support. • Short-term bounces are showing up, but theyre reactive, not strong enough to reverse the
