The NFL moves onto week two, with another interesting primetime slate.

First on the list, though, is one of the better Thursday Night Football matchups TV audiences will get all season. Heres how to watch all three primetime games this week.

What Is The NFLs Week 2 Primetime Schedule?

Thursday, Sept. 17: Detroit Lions (1-0) at Buffalo Bills (1-0), 8:15 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video

Thursday night marks the first regular season game for both the Amazon Prime Video team and Buffalo‘s newly-opened Highmark Stadium. And both couldn’t have asked for a better matchup between two high-flying teams sitting at 1-0.

Those victories were not necessarily created equal, however.

While the Lions withstood a pesky Saints team going for two in overtime to win, 31-30, Josh Allen and the Bills slashed through a Texans defense many projected as one of the leagues top units, en route to a 36-31 victory.

Needless to say, there will be plenty of scoring here, given both defenses limited resistance in week one. If either team can show some improvement on that side of the ball, it likely makes all the difference.

Sunday, Sept. 20: Indianapolis Colts (0-1) at Kansas City Chiefs (1-0), 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC/Peacock

The Chiefs are at home in primetime for a second straight week, and after thumping the rival Broncos, 31-10 on Monday, some area already asking if Kansas City is “back?”

KC will be favored by nearly a touchdown against a Colts team that struggled to slow down the Ravens last week in a 41-23 defeat. Like the Chiefs‘ Patrick Mahomes, Indianapolis’s Daniel Jones is also returning from injury. But unlike Mahomes, he still didnt appear particularly mobile in week one.

A win for Kansas City could give the Chiefs an early cushion in the AFC West, especially if the Broncos and/or Chargers suffer losses. The Colts, meanwhile, want to avoid falling too far behind in the (already longshot) divisional race with the mor talented Texans and Jaguars.

Monday, Sept. 21: New York Giants (1-0) at Los Angeles Rams (0-1), 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC/ESPN Unlimited

At 1-0, the Giants are already playing with some house money under new coach John Harbaugh. Beating the Cowboys – a win Harbaugh said is No. 1 in his career – was a big step toward relevance again. And now traveling across the country to L.A., theres no pressure on the team to notch a victory.

For the Rams, however, week one‘s resounding loss to the rival 49ers in Australia rapidly puts the team behind the 8 ball. Even a win against the Giants at SoFi Stadium simply bails the Rams out from a potential 0-4 start with road games at the Eagles and Broncos up next. Starting 1-3 isn’t much better, and L.A. still wont have key offseason acquisition Myles Garrett back until some time in October at earliest.

Monday night should clear up a lot of things for this Rams group, including how much trying to avoid jet lag helped create the loss in Melbounre. If they come out looking relatively “normal” on both sides of the ball save Garrett‘s absence, then it’s easy enough to chalk up the 0-1 start to bad travel strategy for a team that still has Super Bowl aspirations for the time being.

If the Giants manage to catch the Rams asleep as well, though, the Giants could suddenly become one of the NFC favorites on paper given an easier schedule.
