We heard a lot about Conor Benn struggling to make weight for Saturday‘s clash with Ryan Garcia, but that didn’t appear to be the case on Friday. Benn weighed in at a ready 146 pounds on Friday morning and Garcia was even lighter at 145.5 pounds. Both men appear to be ready and in great physical condition, which could help to produce a memorable championship fight. I must admit, this one is even more special because it is actually for a world title. Need info on when the men will walk? Lets talk Garcia-Benn.

There is no rehydration clause in this contract, which matters more than the scale did. Benn has said he expects to enter the ring around 175 pounds. Garcia projects himself around 157. Nothing in the deal stops either number. Garcia also spent fight week insisting Benn was nowhere near the limit, then stepped on the scale half a pound lighter than the man he was accusing.

Garcia and Benn weren‘t the only ones to make weight on the card. Like Saturday’s Noche UFC card, every fighter on the prelims and main event was on weight. You can see all the official weights below.

Who wins Garcia-Benn? It comes down to a few things. Can Benn handle Garcia‘s hand speed? If he cannot, it could be a short night for him. If Benn can handle the hand speed and he can get inside to make it a dirtier, grimy battle, he could find some success — especially in the later rounds. Garcia is one of the most talented fighters in the world, but when he doesn’t land his left hook and abandons his jab, he is beatable by the top competition. Well see if Benn can prove himself to be in that number on Saturday night.
