This Is Fine Creator Says AI Startup Stole His Meme for Subway Ads

KC Green said he‘d emailed someone at the company but didn’t expect much of a response. A few minutes later, he muted the thread. The notifications had become overwhelming. “Go to bed, its late,” he told the pile-on. Artisan said it has “a lot of respect for KC Green and his work” and was reaching out to him directly. In a follow-up statement the company said it had scheduled time to speak with him. Artisan‘s CEO Jaspar Carmichael-Jack has written that the “Stop Hiring Humans” campaign was “a provocation” designed to generate attention. He also acknowledged on the company blog that the billboard was “mostly just for attention” and that he doesn’t actually believe AI will replace all human workers. The company has since doubled down on controversy as a marketing strategy—and this time it has a copyright problem to show for it. This isn‘t an isolated pattern. The unconsensual use of AI to steal creators’ works, images, and IP is a growing trend that seems far from ending. DTCC Tokenized Securities: Is Wall Street About to Bring Stocks On-Chain?

Bitcoin may be holding near the $80,000 level, but the biggest crypto story today may not be another short-term price move. It could be the quiet institutional shift happening behind the scenes. DTCC, one of the most important infrastructure players in traditional finance, announced that it is advancing a new tokenization service through DTC. The plan includes initial limited production trades of tokenized securities in July 2026, followed by a broader service launch targeted for October 2026. This matters because tokenized securities could bring traditional assets such as stocks, funds, bonds, and Treasuries closer to blockchain-based settlement. In simple terms, Wall Street is preparing to test whether real-world assets can move more efficiently on-chain. What Did DTCC Announce? DTCC said it is working with more than 50 firms through an industry working group to support the development of DTCs tokenization service. The goal is to test and prepare tokenized real-world assets for production use, including their ability to operate across different blockchain networks. The first limited production trades are expected in July 2026, while the wider launch is planned for October 2026. According to DTCC, the service is designed for real-world assets held in DTC custody, meaning investors would still keep the same entitlements, investor

Trump-affiliated World Liberty sues Justin Sun for defamation after Tron creators lawsuit

World Liberty Financial, the cryptocurrency company affiliated with U.S. President Donald Trump and his family, filed a defamation lawsuit against Tron creator Justin Sun in a Florida state court Monday, alleging “gross misconduct” from Sun over WLFI tokens he bought. The lawsuit comes on the heels of Sun‘s own lawsuit against World Liberty, which was filed in a federal California court, alleging World Liberty had unfairly frozen his ability to transfer his WLFI tokens. In Monday’s suit, World Liberty alleged that Sun-related entities bought WLFI tokens for other investors through straw purchases and may have “engaged in short selling” of the token. World Liberty froze Sun‘s WLFI tokens “to protect” itself and the broader community as a result, the lawsuit said, adding that Sun’s tweets complaining about his tokens being frozen contain false or defamatory information. Sun allegedly hired influencers and used bots to “amplify his lies,” World Liberty claimed, and as a result the company said it had “lost specific business opportunities.” Many portions of the lawsuit were redacted, including portions describing Suns purchase of the tokens and sections about his alleged misconduct. This alleged misconduct includes what World Liberty describes as “a large, deliberate, short-selling campaign designed to suppress $WLFIs price at the

Circle, Coinbase lead crypto stocks rally amid Clarity Act progress, bitcoin hitting $80,000

Crypto-related stocks rallied Monday, led by Circle (CRCL) and Coinbase (COIN), as progress on U.S. digital asset legislation and bitcoin breaking above $80,000 lifted sentiment across the sector. Circle, issuer of the USDC stablecoin, surged 18%, extending recent gains, while U.S.-focused crypto exchange Coinbase rose about 7%. BitGo (BTGO), a digital asset infrastructure firm offering custody and stablecoin services, climbed roughly 10%. Strategy (MSTR), the largest corporate bitcoin holder, crypto-friendly digital broker Robinhood (HOOD) and Ethereum (ETH) treasury firm Bitmine (BMNR) were also up 3%-4%, underscoring the broad-market advance. The move came as bitcoin pushed above $80,000 during the session, reaching its strongest level since late January and providing a tailwind for the broader crypto sector. BTC advanced nearly 2% over the past 24 hours, leading the broader crypto benchmark CoinDesk 20 Indexs 1.2% gain. Further boosting investor optimism were signs that the long-debated Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, a key piece of U.S. legislation to regulate crypto markets, is moving closer to passage. A newly released compromise would prohibit stablecoin issuers from offering yield on idle balances, while still allowing rewards tied to usage and transaction activity, according to a Friday text. The approach addresses one of the most contentious aspects of the bill
