Qatar’s Foreign Ministry: Normal traffic through Hormuz has not resumed

A spokesperson from Qatars Foreign Ministry said that communication between leaders in the region is ongoing and with conflict parties to prevent a return to escalation. The spokesperson added that only two Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) tankers have crossed the Strait of Hormuz, but that does not mean normal traffic has resumed. This appears to be a warning from Qatars Foreign Ministry that the energy flow through the Strait of Hormuz is still restricted. Market reaction No major impact on the WTI Oil price following comments from Qatars Foreign Ministry. As of writing, the WTI Oil price holds onto early gains around $102.50. Elon Musk Cheers NVIDIA’s Vera Launch After SpaceX Gets First Units

NVIDIA has tapped SpaceX as one of the first customers to deploy its new Vera CPU, the chipmakers debut processor designed specifically for agentic artificial intelligence (AI) workloads. The collaboration drew quick public backing from SpaceX chief executive Elon Musk, who reposted the announcement on X and joked that the chip lived up to its name. NVIDIA Ships First Vera Units to SpaceX NVIDIA confirmed that early Vera silicon went directly to SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The chipmakers hyperscale division hand-delivered the first units, framing the rollout as the start of a wider commercial deployment. The Vera CPU houses 88 custom NVIDIA-designed Olympus cores and supports up to 1.2 TB/s of memory bandwidth using LPDDR5X memory. NVIDIA claims the chip runs agentic sandbox workloads up to 50% faster than competing rack-scale CPUs while doubling efficiency. A new 256-CPU rack configuration sustains more than 22,500 concurrent agent environments at full performance, according to NVIDIA. The system is part of the broader Rubin platform revealed at GTC in March 2026. His enthusiasm follows the recent folding of xAI into SpaceX, which now operates the merged AI division under the SpaceXAI brand. The unit already runs the Colossus 1 and Colossus 2 supercomputers in Memphis. Why Vera

Why World Cup Squad Selection Is More Than Picking the Best Players

Choose a list of the best players from a nation, balance them out in every position, tot it up to 26 and press send. Its that simple, right? If only. Picking a successful World Cup squad is about more than cramming as much of a nation‘s talent as possible onto a plane – although it does help – it’s about creating a group that fits together for the duration of a tournament. Like any manager in any industry, the best international bosses know building a good team is more of an art than an exact science. There needs to be the right blend of personalities, leaders and ambition. Most importantly when it comes to a high-pressure environment like a World Cup, the players need to get on. Because when theyre stuck in a training camp for six to eight weeks that can quickly feel like a goldfish bowl, minor gripes can soon become major issues. How to avoid selecting unhappy players One of the most common is if players become unhappy because they‘re not getting as much game time as they’d expect. Sitting on the bench is always hard to take, but if managers have a squad brimming with talent, that will often see some big

Bitcoin retail panic grows - Why traders are watching BTC’s $76K closely

Bitcoin [BTC] sentiment weakened after repeated failures to reclaim the $82,000 resistance earlier this month. Those rejections gradually shifted momentum lower, driving BTC back toward the critical $76,000–$77,000 support zone. Selling pressure strengthened further once long liquidations accelerated across derivatives markets beneath rising fear and tightening liquidity conditions. Notably, volume also expanded heavily during red sessions, reinforcing emotional positioning as traders rapidly closed leveraged exposure. Source: BTC/USD on TradingView Meanwhile, at press time, RSI slipped near 35, reflecting fading short-term momentum beneath broader market stress. However, CMF conditions remained slightly positive, suggesting some spot accumulation continues absorbing downside volatility around current levels. That divergence increasingly reflects fragile sentiment and liquidation stress rather than a confirmed structural breakdown across broader Bitcoin market conditions. Bitcoin retail fear reaches its highest level in weeks Bitcoin sentiment sharply deteriorated after the price slipped toward the broader $76,000 region, beneath accelerating retail panic across social platforms. Santiment data now shows bearish BTC commentary briefly overtaking bullish commentary for the first time since the 21st of April. That emotional shift strengthened further once the bullish-to-bearish comment ratio dropped near 0.94, reflecting rising fear beneath weakening market confidence. Retail traders also exited positions as defensive positioning intensified around the recent downside move. Source: Santiment However, previous

AI Slop Floods Bug Bounty Programs as Companies Struggle with Fake Reports

Companies running bug bounty programs report a sharp increase in low-quality AI-generated submissions.HackerOne and Nextcloud both suspended bug bounty programs after waves of fake reports.Security firms say AI tools are changing bug hunting by making it easier to submit reports at scale. Artificial intelligence is creating a new headache for companies that rely on bug bounty programs to uncover software vulnerabilities. Cybersecurity firms and open-source software projects are dealing with a surge of AI-generated bug reports, many of which are false or misleading. Thats per a report from Financial Times, which says that the growing number of low-quality submissions is forcing some organizations to pause bug bounty programs as security teams spend more time sorting real vulnerabilities from spam. Bug bounties have also become big business, with companies including Meta, Microsoft, Apple, and Crypto.com collectively paying at least $58 million in 2025 to researchers who find software flaws before hackers do. However, generative AI tools are also making it easier to exploit bug bounty programs by producing large volumes of inaccurate or low-quality vulnerability reports at scale. According to San Francisco-based Bugcrowd, reports submitted through its platform more than quadrupled during three weeks in March. The company, whose clients include ChatGPT developer OpenAI, said most

Asia dominates stablecoin payments, accounting for two-thirds of volume

While Western regulators have spent the last few years debating what stablecoins even are, Asia quietly built a payments ecosystem around them. The continent now accounts for approximately 60% of global stablecoin payment volume, translating to roughly $245 billion in annual transactions. That figure comes from a February 2026 analysis by McKinsey & Company in collaboration with Artemis Analytics. The key financial hubs driving this dominance: Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan. The gap between trading and paying Total stablecoin transaction settlement exceeded $33 trillion in 2025. The McKinsey-Artemis analysis draws a critical distinction between genuine end-user payments and the broader on-chain trading activity that inflates headline figures. Most of that $33 trillion is traders shuffling value between exchanges and DeFi protocols, not businesses paying suppliers or consumers buying goods. The actual payment volume, meaning transactions where stablecoins function as money rather than as trading collateral, comes to roughly $390 billion annually worldwide. Thats roughly 1.2% of total on-chain settlement. B2B transactions make up the lions share of that real payment activity, accounting for about $226 billion, or roughly 60% of the total. And the growth rate there is staggering: 733% year-over-year in 2025. Why Asia, and why now In 2024, the Asia-Pacific region received approximately $2.36 trillion

Australian Dollar: Oil keeps RBA cautious – BNY

BNYs Bob Savage notes the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) sees elevated risks that inflation expectations drift higher, potentially requiring a deeper slowdown. Oil-driven price pressures and three rate hikes to 4.35% frame the backdrop for AUD/USD. RBA tightening risk and weak sentiment “RBA Assistant Governor Sarah Hunter has warned that the risk of inflation expectations drifting higher is ”elevated,“ which could necessitate a more substantial economic slowdown to bring inflation back to target. The shock to oil prices will exert upward pressure on inflation over the next year, contributing around 0.4 percentage points to underlying inflation in the quarter to March 2027. Underlying inflation is then expected to ease, and headline inflation to fall thanks to lower oil and travel prices.” “The RBA is aiming to keep inflation expectations anchored around the midpoint of its 2-3% inflation band. Rising fuel prices, exacerbated by the Iran conflict, are driving inflation pressures, affecting travel, transport, postal services, groceries and construction costs. The RBA has raised rates three times this year to 4.35% and is monitoring how quickly firms pass higher costs on to consumers, with risks that faster and broader pass-through could drive up inflation expectations.” “The minutes from the latest RBA meeting hinted a

MSTR stock is beating Bitcoin, but another Strategy asset matters more now

Throughout 2026, MSTR stock and Strategys preferred securities are trading as more than a simple Bitcoin proxy. Bitcoin is down about 12.5% year to date, while Strategy stock, trading as MSTR, is up about 6.8% Strategys preferred securities have also held up better than BTC in price. STRC is nearly flat, while STRD, STRF, and STRK have all shown smaller price declines than spot Bitcoin. Those preferred figures are price moves and exclude dividends.
