CLARITY Act to Pass as India Falls Behind in Crypto Regulation
India has over 66 million crypto owners but still lacks comprehensive crypto regulations.The US Senate is set to hold a key vote on the CLARITY Act on September 15.The US, EU, Japan, and other countries are moving ahead with digital asset frameworks. The US crypto market is entering a new phase as the much-awaited CLARITY Act is getting closer to its final vote on September 15. Other countries like the UK, Japan, and South Korea have also established clearer rules for their digital asset spaces. But India, despite its large digital asset user base, is yet to introduce clear crypto regulations. With the crypto community waiting for the CLARITY Acts passage, India poses the risk of falling behind in the global crypto race. CLARITY Act Vote on Sept 15, US Crypto Regulation in Focus All eyes are now on September 15 as the US Senate has scheduled a key vote on the CLARITY Act. Although House Republicans shortened the congressional calendar, the cloture vote remains on the Senates schedule. In addition, SEC Chair Paul Atkins has also expressed his optimism that the bill is likely to be passed this month, stating, “The Clarity Act will be voted on in the Senate on the 15th
