Crypto Analysts Say Bitcoin Could Be Nearing a Bottom After Significantly Bearish Month

Bitcoin experienced a significant price decline in June, dropping from a monthly high of $73,984 to close the month at $58,526, according to data from TradingView. Incidentally, the cryptocurrency reached its monthly high on the first day of June, then lost value as the month progressed. Despite Bitcoin‘s negative price action in June, which saw the cryptocurrency reach its lowest level in about 21 months, multiple analysts consider the price action secondary to Bitcoin’s ongoing evolution. For the XWIN Japan Research Group, June should not be viewed simply as a collapse month for Bitcoin but a period marking a transition in market structure. Although selling pressure intensified for $BTC, long-term accumulation did as well. Underlying Bitcoin Metrics XWIN highlighted some key metrics that exposed Bitcoins intricate dynamics, including the Coinbase Premium Index, which remained negative throughout June. The research group noted that it indicates weak institutional spot demand for $BTC, while Apparent Demand stayed deeply negative, confirming that new buying did not absorb supply. Notably, Bitcoin‘s MVRV declined toward levels associated with undervaluation, as Bitcoin’s market price approached its Realized Price. These valuation metrics reflect a move toward historical bear-market territory, particularly when market cycles form bottoms. Nonetheless, long-term holders kept faith amid resilient

Crypto ATM bans, restrictions now in effect in Tennessee and Georgia

Cryptocurrency ATMs are fast disappearing from the American landscape as kiosk operators in two US states face bans and restrictions as new laws go into effect. Crypto ATM laws passed by Tennessee and Georgia went into effect on Wednesday, imposing a complete ban in the former and requiring transaction limits and reporting in the latter. The measures by the two states followed bans in Indiana, which went into effect in March, and Minnesota, set to enforce an ATM ban on Aug. 1. The Tennessee law, signed by Governor Bill Lee in April, bans the use and installation of cryptocurrency ATMs and kiosks, while the Georgia law requires that ATM operators cap money sent for new and existing users, issue warnings to customers and in some cases refund those who may have been the victims of fraud. There were 185 crypto ATMs and kiosks operating in Tennessee before the statewide ban took effect on July 1. Source: CoinATMRadar Many US state governments and municipalities have individually begun cracking down on crypto ATM operators in response to incidents of residents, particularly senior citizens, being conned into sending funds to scammers.

Ether, solana, dogecoin in the green after Warsh comments push bitcoin above $60,000

The bigger move was in stocks. A selloff in semiconductor shares spread to South Korea on Thursday, where the Kospi index fell almost 7% before paring losses. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix each dropped more than 6%, and Kioxia fell 13% in Japan after a rally that had lifted the stock more than 650% this year. The declines revived worries that this years blistering run in artificial-intelligence stocks has outpaced reality. Two reports fed the unease. Meta is building a cloud business to sell access to spare AI computing power, Bloomberg reported, which raised concern the company had overbuilt. Apple is in talks to buy chips from two Chinese semiconductor makers, a move that would hurt Korean suppliers. The AI trade is where money has flowed all quarter while bitcoin fell, giving the asset a rare back-to-back quarterly loss for only the third time in history. Capital rotated steadily into chipmakers and AI infrastructure as crypto closed a losing first half, so cracks there could ease the pull that has weighed on the market. Elsewhere, Brent crude fell to about $70.60 a barrel, its lowest since late February, before the Middle East war began, as traffic through the Strait of Hormuz recovered.
