Purpose
The cryptocurrency market in Mauritius is an emerging, island-based market that has gradually developed since 2010. Leveraging the country’s favorable offshore financial policies, it has attracted a number of exchanges specializing in cross-border digital asset services. To help investors and industry professionals gain a more comprehensive understanding of the region’s cryptocurrency exchanges, a field research team conducted on-site visits to Mauritius.
Process
This issue’s on-site verification team, as planned, traveled to Mauritius to conduct a field visit to the cryptocurrency exchange Test-1a. According to publicly available information, its registered office is located at 100th Floor, The Docks 4, The Docks, Caudan, Port Louis, Mauritius.
A professional and experienced on-site inspection team, driven by a strong sense of responsibility to rigorously vet investors’ opportunities, traveled to Mauritius according to a carefully planned itinerary. Based on the information provided, they conducted a field visit to the exchange Test-1a.
Upon arriving at the target area, they carried out an on-site verification of the exchange Test-1a, which is reportedly located at 100th Floor, The Docks 4, The Docks, Caudan, Port Louis, Mauritius.
They successfully reached The Docks 4 building, situated in the Cudan waterfront district of Port Louis. The surrounding environment is ordinary yet bustling with commercial activity. The building’s exterior appears new, and the Test-1a signage is clearly visible from the outside, making it highly recognizable.
When attempting to enter the building lobby, they were not granted access and thus could not enter the building’s public areas to examine further details.
Due to the inability to enter the building, they were unable to reach the specific floor to confirm the exact location. However, the company nameplate for this exchange was clearly displayed on the exterior, and its logo was mounted on the building’s façade. The office space is a shared office environment.
After being permitted to enter the company’s office area, they were able to clearly photograph the reception desk and its logo. They observed that the internal office environment was vibrant, comprising 111 rooms with 11 workstations, and the overall setting aligns with the company’s stated business positioning.
Therefore, following the on-site inspection, it was confirmed that the exchange Test-1a does indeed exist at the aforementioned address.
Conclusion
The on-site verification team, as scheduled, visited the cryptocurrency exchange Test-1a in Mauritius. At its publicly listed business address, they observed the exchange’s corporate name and other identifying information, indicating that the exchange maintains a genuine physical presence. Investors are advised to make their decisions after careful consideration.
