Amprius Technologies, Inc., AMPX The company generated $28.5 million in quarterly revenue — marking a 153% increase compared to the prior-year period and climbing 13% sequentially from Q4 2025. CFO Ricardo Rodriguez attributed this compression to elevated overhead expenses associated with the company’s SiMaxx platform — approximately $3 million in fixed costs against just $618,000 in SiMaxx-related revenue. The SiCore battery product line has emerged as the primary revenue driver, representing 97% of total product sales during the quarter. The legacy SiMaxx platform continues its

BitMine may slow ETH buying pace as it nears 5% supply goal

BitMine Chairman Tom Lee said the company may slow the pace of its Ethereum purchases as it moves closer to its goal of holding 5% of the total ETH supply. Lee made the comments Thursday at Consensus 2026 in Miami, saying BitMine is evaluating whether it wants to keep accumulating ETH at its current pace. He said the company could reach its 5% target in about six weeks if it continues buying at the same rate. I do think we‘re going to slow down our pace of buying, Lee said on stage. I’m not sure we want to get to 5% too quickly. BitMine has been one of the most aggressive Ethereum treasury buyers in the public market. The company said Monday that it held 5.18 million ETH as of May 3, representing 4.29% of Ethereums total supply of 120.7 million ETH. BitMine said it was 86% of the way toward what it calls the Alchemy of 5%, after buying 101,745 ETH in the previous week. Lee said BitMine may now accumulate at a slower pace because there are other things to be doing in crypto. He pointed to the companys recent move to the New York Stock Exchange, its $4 billion share repurchase

JaredFromSubway.eth sandwich attacked Vitalik Buterin

MEV-focused extraction bot JaredFromSubway.eth front- and back-ran an Ethereum trade by Vitalik Buterin, getting away with about two-thousandths of an ether (ETH). Ethereum founder Buterin was selling a token airdrop, DigitalBits, when he fell victim to the garden-variety sandwich attack. The name “JaredFromSubway” refers to Jared Fogle who lost nearly 250 pounds while earning a TV sponsorship from Subway. After his weight loss fame faded, however, the world learned of Fogles sexual misconduct involving minors, including a criminal conviction. He remains imprisoned with an expected release date of 2029. Crypto, of course, has a dark sense of humor, and despite his legal troubles, someone decided to name a maximum extractable value (MEV)-focused extraction bot after him. Fogle, who has limited internet access in prison, doesnt control the bot. The trader bearing an ENS name with Fogle‘s brand extracted value from Buterin’s transaction inside Ethereum block 24993038. Another sandwich attack by JaredFromSubway.eth Buterin routed 26,544 DigitalBits (XDB) tokens through the Uniswap V2 router with his slippage parameter amountOutMin set to zero. That setting accepted any non-zero output. Buterin received 0.00197 ETH, worth a little under $5 at the time. JaredFromSubway.eth, watching the public mempool, noticed Buterins unprotected swap and inserted itself onto both sides of his transaction. In the position immediately

Tech optimism bolsters risk appetite

Tech Tech optimism bolsters risk appetite Optimism over tech earnings continues to lift US markets, while bitcoins recovery goes on, says Chris Beauchamp, Chief Market Analyst at online trading and investing platform IG. US and Europe diverge in quiet trading While the tech-driven surge has continued, we are once again seeing a divergence between the US and everyone else. Earnings from AMD and TSMC have reinforced the narrative on AI demand, but for Europe that offers less comfort given the smaller weighting of tech across the continent. Faced with ongoing supply disruptions, the US outlook continues to look rosier than that in Europe. Bitcoin holds above $80K Bitcoins recovery continues to fly under the radar, but this sustained bounce from the February lows marks a distinct change in tone for the cryptocurrency. Inflows are providing much-needed support, while the broader risk-on tone for markets has meant that bitcoin stands a much stronger chance of mounting a push back to $90K.

Papa John’s (PZZA) Stock Plummets Nearly 5% Following Disappointing Q1 Results

Papa Johns International, Inc., PZZA Bottom-line results showed net income of $7 million, down from $9 million in the comparable period last year. Adjusted EBITDA totaled $48 million, representing a decrease from the prior years $50 million. CEO Todd Penegor attributed the soft performance to consumers grappling with persistent inflation. He noted that customers are opting for smaller pizza sizes while eliminating side items and desserts from their orders, pressuring average transaction values. Domestic Market Weakness Contrasts with International Strength Comparable sales in North America declined 6.4% during the quarter. Penegor indicated this figure aligned with the companys internal projections. Meanwhile, international operations delivered stronger performance. Markets outside North America recorded a 3.6% increase in comparable sales, representing the sixth consecutive quarter of positive international growth. Global system-wide restaurant sales totaled $1.20 billion, down 3% compared to the same period last year. The company added 28 new locations during the quarter — 8 domestically and 20 in international territories. A portion of the domestic revenue contraction stemmed from strategic refranchising efforts. Papa Johns refranchised 85 locations in the fourth quarter of 2025, which eliminated approximately $25 million from company-operated restaurant revenue in North America. Transformation Strategy Continues Papa Johns is actively executing a comprehensive restructuring initiative. The plan includes shuttering

Amazon Teams With Coinbase and Stripe to Let AI Agents Pay With Stablecoins

In briefAmazon Web Services launched AgentCore Payments with Coinbase and Stripe for AI agent transactions. The system uses Coinbases x402 protocol and USDC stablecoin payments on Base and Solana.Amazon says future AI agents could autonomously buy services, data, flights, and hotel bookings. Amazon Web Services is bringing crypto payments into enterprise AI software as tech companies race to build autonomous AI agents capable of completing tasks and making transactions online. On Thursday, AWS announced Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Payments, a system developed with Coinbase and Stripe that allows AI agents to use stablecoins to automatically pay for APIs, data feeds, web content, and other online services during task execution. The launch brings stablecoin-based micropayments directly into AWSs AI agent platform, aiming to eliminate the need for developers to build custom billing systems for each service integration. According to Preethi CN, director of AgentCore, the platform uses Coinbases x402 protocol, an open standard based on the HTTP 402 “Payment Required” response code, along with Coinbase wallet infrastructure and Stripe-owned Privy wallet technology. “AgentCore is designed to work with any framework and any protocol. We‘ve carried that same flexibility into Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Payments. Developers don’t have to track the evolving payment protocol landscape or lock into a
