If We Were to Sell One BTC, We Would Be Buying 20 More: Saylor

Strategy co-founder Michael Saylor has clarified his recent comments about possible Bitcoin sales, saying any sale by the company would be tactical and would still result in net Bitcoin accumulation. The remarks followed market reaction to Strategys first-quarter earnings call, where Saylor said the company could sell a portion of its Bitcoin holdings to help fund dividend payments tied to STRC, its Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock. Saylor has long been associated with the phrase “never sell your Bitcoin,” making the latest comments notable for investors who follow Strategys treasury policy. In a later interview, he said the more precise position would be to “never be a net seller of Bitcoin.” He explained that Strategys accumulation plan remains unchanged and that selling a small amount of BTC could support financing activity that allows the company to buy more Bitcoin later. “If we were to sell one Bitcoin, wed be buying 10 to 20 more,” Saylor said, describing a model where limited BTC sales help support larger future purchases. Michael Saylor Explains Bitcoin Sales Strategy Saylor said the companys approach should be understood as capital management rather than a reversal of its Bitcoin policy. He compared the process to a technology company spending money on infrastructure

DeepBook suffers $239.7K bad debt – What it means for leveraged DeFi

The disruption unfolded as collateral values deteriorated faster than DeepBooks liquidation engines could react during volatile conditions. Withdrawal thresholds near 2.0x and liquidation targets around 1.25x briefly failed to absorb the shock. That weakness exposed how rapidly leverage can destabilize shared liquidity pools once volatility accelerates. However, protocol solvency remained intact as the insurance fund fully restored affected balances without user losses. That response prevented broader contagion across DeepBooks roughly $16 million ecosystem liquidity, while reinforcing how liquidation latency still threatens leveraged DeFi systems during sharp market swings. Margin pause limits contagion risk As bad debt rapidly accumulated inside DeepBooks USDC margin pool, governance responded by pausing margin trading within minutes. The suspension prevented additional leverage exposure from spreading across the protocol during volatile trading conditions. Before the disruption, DeepBook processed a steady $10–15 million in daily trading volume. Meanwhile, ecosystem liquidity held near $16.09 million, reflecting growing activity across Suis trading layer. The pause sharply reduced leveraged flows, though spot Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) activity continued operating without major disruption. That separation prevented broader liquidation spirals from destabilizing shared liquidity pools and emerging prediction markets. However, the event also exposed how rapidly collateral shocks can overwhelm leveraged systems once volatility accelerates beyond liquidation response speed. Leverage efficiency continues to

CZ Says Crypto Exchange Rivals Opposed His Pardon Bid

During an interview with CBS News 60 Minutes program in November 2025, Trump said he had “no idea who he is” but was told that he was a victim of a “witch hunt” by the administration of former US President Joe Biden. Binance.US resumed operations for eligible US users in February 2025, months after Zhaos pardon was granted. Zhao cleared of recent allegations Zhaos comments came just months after a federal court in Alabama granted a motion in March to dismiss a 2024 complaint filed against him, Binance and its separate US entity Binance.US over allegations that the crypto exchange facilitated transferring funds to terrorist groups. Zhao said in April that he hopes cryptocurrencies and blockchain will simply become an invisible part of daily infrastructure by 2031, much like the internet today. “I‘m hoping that we don’t talk about crypto as crypto in five years, just like we don‘t talk about the internet anymore, we don’t talk about TCP/IP, we dont talk about HTML, JavaScript, etc,” Zhao told Scott Melker on the Wolf of All Streets podcast.

OpenAI presidents journal entries emerge in Musk lawsuit, rattling Worldcoin

Nothing says “for the benefit of humanity” quite like a private journal entry about becoming a billionaire through AI dominance. Thats essentially the scene playing out in a federal courtroom, where OpenAI President Greg Brockman was asked to read aloud from his own 2017 journal during the ongoing Elon Musk v. OpenAI trial. The entries, which Musk‘s legal team introduced as evidence, depict Brockman’s aspirations for personal wealth and control over advanced artificial intelligence. For an organization founded on the premise of developing AI as a public good, its the kind of internal documentation that makes PR teams lose sleep. What the journal says, and why it matters Brockmans journal entries date back to 2017, a period when OpenAI was still positioning itself as a nonprofit research lab dedicated to ensuring AI benefits all of humanity. The excerpts read in court paint a different picture: one of personal ambition tied directly to controlling transformative technology. Musks legal team is using these entries as a cornerstone of their argument that OpenAI abandoned its founding mission in favor of profit. The lawsuit, which began in March 2024, has intensified significantly in early May 2026 with these revelations. The crypto fallout: Worldcoin takes the hit The trial‘s reverberations aren’t

OpenAI presidents private journal entries read aloud in Elon Musk lawsuit

A private journal kept by OpenAI President Greg Brockman is now courtroom evidence, and its contents are exactly as awkward as you‘d expect when someone’s personal reflections about getting rich collide with a company that was founded to benefit humanity. The diary entries, which span roughly a decade of internal deliberations at OpenAI, were read publicly during the ongoing trial between Elon Musk and the AI company. They detail Brockmans thinking about transitioning OpenAI from a non-profit to a for-profit entity, including estimates of a pathway to $1B in personal net worth amid a $30B company valuation. What the journal actually says The entries were originally submitted as sealed evidence in October 2025 before being publicly unsealed in January 2026. They cover years of internal debate at OpenAI about the organizations structure, its financial trajectory, and the tensions that come with trying to build world-changing technology while also, apparently, doing some back-of-the-napkin math on personal wealth. One notable entry addresses Elon Musk‘s departure from OpenAI. Brockman’s writing suggests that Musks exit was perceived internally as a morale hit, partly because of concerns about his pursuit of artificial general intelligence, or AGI. Brockman has faced direct questioning during the trial about Musk‘s central allegation, that OpenAI

Although the volume behind the surge was below the average levels, it hinted towards a rise in the traders participation. Currently, the LUNC price has staged a strong recovery after a brief pullback, reclaiming the crucial $0.0001 level and reviving a strong bullish momentum. On the other hand, the current upswing seems to be backed by a strong spot accumulation, which may further lead to a short squeeze. ClickFix malware campaign targets Mac users searching for help

Attackers are posting fake macOS troubleshooting guides on Medium, Craft, and Squarespace. The goal is to make users run Terminal commands that install malware targeting iCloud data, saved passwords, and crypto wallets. Microsofts Defender Security Research Team published the findings. The campaign has been running since late 2025. It preys on Mac users searching for help with common problems like freeing up disk space or fixing system errors. Instead of offering a legit fix, the pages tell users to copy a command and paste it into Terminal. That command pulls down and runs malware. The misleading blog posts tell readers to copy a malicious command and paste it into Terminal. This command downloads malware and runs it on the victims computer. The technique is called ClickFix. Its social engineering that changes responsibility for launching the payload onto the victim. Because the user runs the command directly in Terminal, macOS Gatekeeper never inspects the payload. Gatekeeper normally checks code signing and notarization on app bundles opened through Finder, but this method sidesteps it entirely. Microsoft spotted three campaign installers:A loader.A script.A helper. All three harvest sensitive data, establish persistence, and exfiltrate stolen information to the attackers servers. The malware families include AMOS, Macsync, and SHub Stealer. If any one

Policy at Consensus Miami: State of Crypto

White House adviser Patrick Witt said its possible the Clarity Act becomes law by July 4 while Senator Kirsten Gillibrand pushed for an ethics provision in the market structure bill. Consensus Miami 2026 wrapped up with a fiery debate on the role of prediction markets, and a lot otherwise happened at our first conference in the Sunshine State. CoinDesk also released the results of a survey it commissioned of 1,000 registered voters on their views toward crypto heading into the 2026 election. PS: I‘ll be at the Bermuda Digital Finance Forum next week. Let’s catch up if youre there. The narrative White House Executive Director of the Presidents Council on Digital Assets Patrick Witt told the audience at Consensus Miami this week that he believed it was possible to have President Donald Trump sign the Clarity Act into law by July 4. The timeline would require a markup this month (which seems very possible), four weeks for the Senate to merge the Banking and Agriculture bills (technically possible), a few weeks for reconciliation with the House (also technically possible) and the House vote (will depend on the House) and finally, the part where the president signs the bill. Beyond Witt, we heard from various industry
