Nasdaq-listed Canton Strategic Holdings plans tokenized stock trading from Nov. 2

Extrait:Nasdaq-listed Canton Strategic Holdings plans to launch tokenized CNTN stock trading on the Canton Network from Nov. 2, following the SECs innovation exemption.

Canton Strategic Holdings, a Nasdaq-listed company formerly known as biotechnology firm Tharimmune, announced plans to tokenize its common shares on the Canton Network, with trading expected to begin as soon as Nov. 2.

According to a Thursday announcement, the company partnered with TSV LLC, a trading venue for tokenized securities, and Fairmint, a US Securities and Exchange Commission-registered transfer agent, to bring its shares onto the blockchain. The tokenized shares would carry the same shareholder rights as the companys Nasdaq-listed stock.

The Nasdaq-traded issue, under the ticker CNTN, currently trade an average daily volume of 757,704 shares, according to Yahoo Finance data. At last look, the stock was up more than 4.5% on the day, trading at roughly $2.13 apiece, with a market cap of $170 million.

Tokenized share trading would be available around the clock through an automated market maker, with transactions settling immediately on the Canton Network. Fairmint would maintain ownership records and oversee compliance with share transfer requirements.

The announcement follows the SECs September innovation exemption, which the companies said provides a regulatory path for trading tokenized US stocks on domestic platforms.

Canton Strategic Holdings shifted its focus to digital assets in November 2025 after raising $545 million to build a business around Canton Coin. It changed its name in February and now holds the cryptocurrency, helps operate the Canton Network, and invests in projects built on the blockchain.

Despite its name, Canton Strategic Holdings is not the company behind the Canton Network, which was developed by Digital Asset. However, it has ties to the Canton Foundation through its investments and participation in network governance.
