Can Seesaw Protocol (SSW) Solve Ethereum (ETH) And Binance Smart Chain’s (BNB) Congestion Issues

If there is one criticism of both the Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain blockchain, its the mass congestion both networks face, limiting the transactions that their users can accomplish. The likes of Solana suffered heavily in 2021 with congestion on its blockchain, which led to network outages, with one lasting for 17 hours back in September. With the cryptocurrency industry growing at a rapid rate and set for another big year in 2022, the performance of blockchains is of the utmost importance to allow a new generation of cryptocurrency investors to participate. For those waiting for a platform aiming to fix the congestion of blockchains, look no further than Seesaw Protocol (SSW). Despite launching just last month, the project has made a name for itself within the crypto community as it aims to bridge the blockchains of Binance Smart Chain (BNB) with Ethereum (ETH) and Polygon (MATIC). Its focus lies on allowing investors to use the most efficient blockchain at the time and will provide users with a quick and cheap transaction experience. As well as its congestion issues, Ethereum (ETH) had been known for its extortionate gas fees that had seen many flee the network in place of a more affordable blockchain to perform its

Ethereum Creator Vitalik Buterin Calls Russia Invasion a 'Crime'

Buterin said he is “upset by Putins decision to abandon the possibility of a peaceful solution.” Vitalik Buterin is the Russian-Canadian creator of Ethereum. Despite his networks neutrality, hes made his political views clear. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin posted in his mother tongue on Wednesday that Russias invasion of Ukraine “is a crime against the Ukrainian and Russian people.” Wrote Buterin: “Very upset by Putins decision to abandon the possibility of a peaceful solution to the dispute with Ukraine and go to war instead.” After recognizing the independence of two separatist regions in eastern Ukraine earlier this week, President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday declared that Russia would conduct a “special military operation” in Ukraine, a thinly veiled reference to a full invasion. Earlier this month, Buterin appealed to Putin—in Russian—to de-escalate a conflict of Russias own making, tweeting, “An attack on Ukraine can only harm Russia, Ukraine and humanity.” Buterin was born in Russia in the years immediately following the collapse of the Soviet Union, before emigrating with his family to Canada in 2000—the same year Putin became president. Bitcoin Price Nosedives After Putin Declares War on Ukraine

Vladimir Putin said Russia would conduct a “special military operation” in Ukraine. The price of Bitcoin fell sharply after Russian President Vladimir Putin went on television to announced a “special military operation” to complete the “demilitarization” of Ukraine. All signs now point to an imminent Russian invasion of Ukraine, and there are media reports of explosions in the capital of Kyiv. While Ukrainians and world citizens have more pressing concerns than the price of cryptocurrency at the moment, markets are a way of quantifying anxieties, given Russias importance to the energy sector. According to data from CoinMarketCap, the total cryptocurrency market cap has lost roughly 5% in the last 24 hours, bringing it to $1.6 trillion. Much of those losses came in the immediate run-up and aftermath of the invasion. In under half an hour, Bitcoin plummeted from its perch of $37,000 to below $35,500. Its not just crypto markets that are spooked. U.S. stock markets continued further into correction territory today, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 1.38%. Asian markets, which were open during Putins announcement, are also reacting; the Nikkei is down 1% and Chinas Hang Seng Index is trading over 2% lower. Economist Jason Furman, a former advisor to President Barack Obama,

FCA Warns Companies on Crypto Mergers

The crypto market in the UK received a warning from the financial watchdog following an acquisition announcement by Bitpanda. The EU regulated Austrian exchange announced that it would buy DeFi custodian Trustology, which is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) through the Money Laundering Regulations (MLR) register. The acquisition is reportedly the first of its kind in the UK market. Bitpandas move is also a first step towards transforming its Bitpanda Pro platform into a fully-fledged prime brokerage business. However, shortly after the announcement, the FCA said that existing regulations for crypto firms do not include provisions. It allows the watchdog to assess how well new owners meet its requirements if a regulated firm is bought out. “The FCA can take steps to suspend or cancel the registration of a crypto asset business if it is not satisfied the firm or its beneficial owner is fit and proper,” it said. While the FCAs other regimes include the powers to supervise, authorize or enforce against firms operating in the UK. The FCA also further added that it could suspend or cancel a firms crypto-asset registration for various reasons, including where a firm has not complied with obligations under MLRs. However, a spokesperson for Bitpanda said that Trustology
