75% of Bitcoin wallets are in profit despite bearish market

Available data from Glassnode shows that around 75% of wallets holding Bitcoin (BTC) are in profit despite the value of the flagship asset falling a long way from its ATH to below the $40k mark recently.Bitcoin wallets are in profit According to the report, there are currently more wallets in profit when compared to the 2018 bear market — only 50% of the wallets were in profit then. We can see that the current bear market is not as severe as the worst phases of all prior cycles, with just 25% to 30% of the market being at an unrealized loss. The analysis also shows that about 60% of transaction volume is in the profit domination. This is the first time it has detected the statistic at such robust levels since December 2021. This high-profit dominance could be a sign of shifting sentiment. It also shows that long-term investors are the most likely to make a profit in this market. In this case, long-term Bitcoin holders have held the coin for at least 155 days. Of this group, more than 67.5% have unrealized profits. But only 7.88% of short-term holders who have held for less than 155 days have seen any gains. Despite this,

Major Indian Crypto Exchanges Blocked All Transfers and Deposits

Two major cryptocurrency exchanges, CoinSwitch Kuber and WazirX, have currently limited their rupee deposits that were used in the extremely popular transfer network for buying digital assets like Bitcoin or Ethereum. Investors have already expressed their concerns and asked for refunds, Reuter reports. The country was and is constantly working on new laws and regulations for the digital assets industry and cryptocurrencies in general. Previously, the central bank of the country backed the ban on cryptocurrencies because of the risks that they create for the financial stability of the countrys economic system. It is not yet clear what or who is behind the limitation of rupee deposits on two major crypto exchanges. Last week, the National Payments Corporation of India, which manages the state-backed transfers network, did not confirm the usage of the United Payments Interface by any cryptocurrency exchanges. On one of the two exchanges, CoinSwitch disabled rupee deposits for their users but also left the opportunity to withdraw funds. Exchange users on Twitter insisted that exchanges should give more information to users and release a statement about the limitations and their duration. Bitcoin (BTC) is keeping traders on the edge of their seats this week as support levels come close to breaking.Traders line up targets below $40,000 Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView shows that lines in the sand below $40,000 barely remain intact after multiple retests. The $40,000 mark has been working overtime in recent days as Bitcoins macro-fueled downtrend continues to play out. Falling in line with tech stocks, BTC/USD has erased almost all of its gains from the second half of March. Now, the $30,000-$40,000 corridor has appeared as a short-term target once again and may see Bitcoin stage a replay of its behavior from Q1 this year. Support levels of interest include one from last months push higher, $39,600, which bulls are just about managing to defend despite several crossings lower. Below that, whale buying zones could act as a safety net, on-chain monitoring resource Whalemap noted on April 12.
