Justin Sun’s Liberland has given Vitalik Buterin a medal

Liberland shared an image of a sheepish-looking Vitalik Buterin holding his medal. The medal‘s name appears to have been inspired by the Commonwealth’s Order of Merit, a 100-year-old award that recognises the distinguished services of people such as Florence Nightingale. Someone who hasn‘t received Liberland’s highest distinction is Tron founder Justin Sun. The crypto billionaire was, however, elected prime minister of the region back in October 2024. Sun has been re-elected seven times. When he first applied for the role, Sun emphasized the need to maintain a strong relationship with the US and boasted about his investments in Trump-linked crypto firm World Liberty Financial (WLFI). He also praised US Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff as an ally. These statements haven‘t aged well, however, as Witkoff’s son and WLFI co-founder, Zach Witkoff, is now claiming that Sun is attempting to “torch” the firm as WLFI and Sun launch lawsuits against each other. Protos is also pretty sure that Sun hasnt set foot in Liberland yet. Other than courting crypto execs, Liberland has recently publicised how it wasnt affected by a 4.1 magnitude earthquake that struck the Donbas region. Its president, Vít Jedlička, noted, “Every structure we build in Liberland is designed with events like this in mind.” These structures include a

Gemini’s agentic trading lets AI models, not humans, drive CEX order flow

Geminis “agentic trading” lets AI models like ChatGPT and Claude plug into user accounts via MCP, executing crypto trades autonomously and turning AI from signal vendor into primary CEX client.Gemini has wired its full trading API into Anthropics Model Context Protocol, so compatible AI agents can pull market data, query order books, place orders and manage positions directly from user‑linked accounts.Users set budgets, strategies and caps, while modular “Trading Skills” give agents DCA, grid, multi‑leg and risk tools, making a growing slice of Geminis resting and market orders originate from opaque, black‑box models.Unlike TONs non‑custodial “Agentic Wallets,” which push autonomy to Telegram edge wallets, Gemini centralizes agentic activity inside a regulated CEX perimeter, recasting AI as a client type that humans merely configure. Gemini has rolled out “agentic trading,” a feature that lets AI systems like ChatGPT and Claude connect directly to user accounts and execute crypto trades autonomously on the exchange, rather than just spitting out trade ideas for humans to click. The move quietly shifts AI from being a glorified signal service to being a client class in its own right, with opaque, proprietary models now sourcing, routing, and managing a chunk of CEX order flow on their own. The next stage of AI growth may depend on execution systems instead of chatbot features alone. AI Agents Are Taking on More Online Tasks In a report released on May 8, Foresight Ventures reported that AI agents are moving beyond simple chat tools and starting to complete real-world tasks. The report describes “agentic commerce” as a system where AI agents can search for products, compare prices, make payments, and complete transactions on behalf of users. This shift is also changing how companies design software. In the past, software was mainly built for human users. Now, firms are increasingly creating systems that AI agents can directly read and interact with. Foresight Ventures said AI agents depend more on APIs, permissions, and structured data than on visual interfaces or app layouts. Major Companies Expand AI Commerce Infrastructure In

US Dollar Index climbs to five-week high as hawkish Fed bets gather pace

On the daily chart, the Dollar Index is extending its recovery above its main moving averages and reinforcing a constructive near-term bias. The 50-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) at 99.00 now underpins the advance, with the 100-day SMA at 98.48 offering a deeper layer of trend support. Momentum conditions back the topside tone, as the Relative Strength Index (14) at 58.67 pushes further into positive territory and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) turns more firmly positive above the zero line. On the topside, initial resistance is located at 100.00, with a break there exposing the next hurdle at 100.50. On the downside, immediate support is provided by the 50-day SMA at 99.00, ahead of the 100-day SMA at 98.48; a deeper pullback would look to the horizontal floor near 97.75 as the next notable demand area. Fed FAQs Monetary policy in the US is shaped by the Federal Reserve (Fed). The Fed has two mandates: to achieve price stability and foster full employment. Its primary tool to achieve these goals is by adjusting interest rates. When prices are rising too quickly and inflation is above the Feds 2% target, it raises interest rates, increasing borrowing costs throughout the economy. This results in a stronger

XRP Compression Tightens as Volume Returns and Volatility Fades

XRP Tightens in Compression Zone as Volume Returns and Long-Term Structure Builds Momentum According to market analyst Xaif Crypto, XRP is undergoing a , with price action coiling inside a narrowing consolidation range while trading volume shows early signs of returning momentum. After a stretch of expansion and volatility, to be settling into a more neutral phase where neither bulls nor bears are clearly in control. Price action is tightening into a defined range, reflecting fading momentum and growing indecision. In structural terms, this kind of compression often marks a transition zone where accumulation or distribution quietly builds in the background before the market commits to its next major move. One of the clearest signals in this phase is the steady fade in volatility. Price movements are tightening on both sides, forming a classic coiling structure where the market appears to be storing energy. In practice, this kind of compression rarely lasts long in highly traded assets like XRP, which is why this setup is drawing attention. Historically, prolonged low-volatility phases often precede more decisive moves, making the current structure technically important. XRP Tightens Below $1.50 as Volume Flickers and Long-Term Structure Builds Pressure Volume is beginning to shift in character. Instead of steady inflows or outflows,

Even so, Coinone remains one of the country‘s five main won-trading venues, alongside Upbit, Bithumb, Korbit and Gopax, making any sizable reported stake a potential entry point in one of Asia’s most important crypto markets. Cointelegraph reached out to Korea Investment & Securities for comment, but did not receive a response by publication. OKX declined to comment on the matter. There is a “double-standard” problem facing the tokenized assets ecosystem.DeFi companies should not be discussing minimum standards amid high expectations.Regulatory elements are the potential catalysts for the tokenized asset sector. The experts expressed their opinions during a meetup hosted by NOWNodes as one of the sideline events of Consensus 2026 in Miami. The meetups panel of discussion featured industry experts from Crypto.com, Zerion, Solflare, Li.Fi, the TON Foundation, Paxos, Houdini Swap, and Globalstake, while the discussion focused on what it takes to build successful tokenized systems and the impact on those affected when they fail. Scaling Under Pressure Li.Fi CEO Philipp Zenter cited the industry‘s double standards as a crucial inhibitor to the sector’s development. During the first panel session moderated by ChangeNOWs Chief Strategy Officer, Pauline, Zenter questioned the prevailing scenario where users believe stablecoins are backed by cash held by a private, unaudited company, but doubt the reality of tokenized real-world assets. Responding to the same issue, Solflare co-founder Vidor Gence explained how his team operates, noting that they run five RPC providers simultaneously, cross-referencing responses for high-priority transactions. According to Gence, his firm cross-references data correctness across RPC providers when dealing with high-priority cases. Zerions Abi Dharshan had a different perspective on

CME and NYSE Push for U.S. Regulatory Oversight of Hyperliquid

The HYPE token had surged as much as 20% yesterday after Coinbase and Circle announced a new partnership with Hyperliquid. As CoinGape reported, Coinbase will become the official USDC treasury deployer for the DEX platform. Meanwhile, the CME and NYSEs push for U.S. regulation of Hyperliquid comes as the Perp DEX continues to gain market share with its 24/7 derivatives platform. Notably, the DEX has its HIP-3 markets, which enable traders to trade traditional assets such as stocks and commodities, which the CME and NYSE offer. The move from these TradFi giants has drawn a reaction from members of the crypto community, who have indicated that they are simply looking to attack the competition. On-chain sleuth ZachXBT noted that it was interesting that the NYSE only has an issue with Hyperliquid but not with Polymarket. This came as he highlighted the NYSEs stake in Polymarket. “Never mind, it all makes sense now,” he concluded. Hyperliquid is also in competition with Polymarket as the Perp DEX recently rolled out the HIP-4 upgrade on mainnet, which enables the creation of outcome markets. Bitwise HYPE ETF Goes Live The Bitwise Hyperliquid ETF has gone live amid the move from the CME and NYSE. In a press release, the
