Institutions Rotate to XRP, NEAR Crypto & Solana as Crypto Funds Bleed $1.47B: Report
In major crypto news today, XRP, Near Protocol, and Solana are witnessing massive buying from retail and institutional investors. Institutions are rotating out of Bitcoin and Ethereum into altcoin-focused crypto funds, as evident from recent analyst predictions and spot ETF inflows. Crypto Funds Record $1.47 Billion in Outflows Crypto funds globally saw outflows of $1.47 billion, a second consecutive negative week, CoinShares reported on May 26. Also, this marks the third-largest weekly outflow of 2026, following two outflows of $1.7 billion in late January. Cumulative outflows over the past two weeks now stand at $2.54 billion despite the CLARITY Act progress. Bitcoin saw $1.315 billion in outflows, the largest weekly outflow of 2026. Meanwhile, Ethereum saw $222 inmillion in outflows, broadly in line with last week. Continuous outflows from Bitcoin and Ethereum signal that macro and US-Iran war-related risk-off has deepened and broadened. Altcoins continued to attract selective inflows but on a smaller scale than the prior week. XRP leads with $31.8 million in inflows.
