crypto Australian Senator warns against rejection of his crypto bill 4 minuto ang nakalipas Balita ng Ethereum ng Bitcoin Australia is facing a critical juncture in its approach to cryptocurrency regulation as the fate of the Digital Assets (Market Regulation) Bill hangs in the balance. Senator Andrew Bragg, the author of the bill, has issued a stark warning that if the legislation is rejected by parliament, Australian investors will be left exposed to unregulated markets, potentially driving investments away from the country. Senate committee suggested the rejection of the bill On September 4, the Senate Committee on Economics Legislation made a significant recommendation, suggesting that the Senate reject Bragg‘s bill. Instead, they proposed that the government continue consulting with the crypto industry to formulate appropriate regulatory frameworks. The committee’s chair, Labor Party Senator Jess Walsh, explained in a report that they recommended against passing the bill because it “fails to interoperate with the established regulatory landscape, creating a genuine concern for regulatory arbitrage and adverse outcomes to the industry.” Senator Bragg vehemently criticized the committees recommendation, asserting that it could “expose consumers to an unregulated market and drive investment offshore.” He highlighted the dual benefits of digital asset regulations: safeguarding consumers and stimulating market investment and activity.

Tinutugunan ng International Monetary Fund (IMF) ang Mga Kakulangan ng Kumpletong Pagbabawal sa Cryptocurrencies!

In a joint roadmap published today, global standard-setting bodies including the Financial Stability Board (FSB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) warned that a complete ban on cryptocurrencies was unlikely to reduce the associated risks. Global Financial Institutions Claim Broad Crypto Bans Are Ineffective The comprehensive report, commissioned by the India-led G20 forum, highlights the need for comprehensive regulatory and supervisory oversight to address macroeconomic and financial stability risks posed by crypto assets. Countries such as India have expressed concern about the increasing threat to monetary policy from widespread crypto use in such economies, calling for recommendations on stronger bans or specific regulatory measures. The report also touches on concerns about the proliferation of stablecoins, which are cryptocurrencies pegged to the value of other assets or currencies. The report underlines that although stablecoins can facilitate a variety of transactions, they bring with them different risks, especially in terms of maintaining a stable value and dependence on private issuers. The report highlights that imposing blanket bans on all crypto activities in one jurisdiction, including trading and mining, is not only logistically difficult and costly, but also risks creating spillover risks by diverting crypto-related activities to other jurisdictions. The report emphasizes that restrictions should not replace sound macroeconomic policies,

Bumababa ang Crypto trading sa mga antas ng 2019 habang nakikita ng Binance ang paghina ng merkado at ang pagtaas ng dami ng Huobi

Spot and derivatives trading activities on centralized cryptocurrency exchanges declined for the second consecutive month by 11.5% to $2.09 trillion, setting a new low for the current year, according to CCData. The crypto data aggregator reported that spot trading activities fell 7.78% to $475 billion in August, the lowest volume recorded since March 2019. CCData stated that daily volumes on centralized exchanges also hit a low of $5.90 billion on August 26, the weakest since Feb. 7, 2019. Pinagmulan: CCData Per CCData, the decreased crypto trading activity was despite Grayscales recent success against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). According to the firm, the legal victory failed to spur a meaningful accumulation of crypto assets. The firm wrote: “The trading volumes on centralised exchanges have remained low since April this year and are now comparable to the stagnant trading activity in the bear market of 2019.” While Binance continues to lead in spot trading volume with $183 billion, it‘s noteworthy that the exchange’s market share has declined consistently for six consecutive months, now resting at 38.5%—its lowest point in the past year. Binance‘s recent setbacks can be primarily attributed to regulatory and legal issues, which have prompted significant changes within the company’s top leadership. Several

Balita ng Ethereum ng Bitcoin Bitcoin mining stocks have dropped sharply from their highest levels this year. Bitcoin price is about to form a death cross pattern on the daily chart. The US dollar index is forming a golden cross pattern. Riot Platforms and Marathon Digital stock price remained under pressure as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies retreated. The RIOT shares were trading at $11.13 on Thursday, ~45% below the highest level this year. Similarly, MARA shares retreated to a low of $12.14, ~38% below the YTD high. Bitcoin mining stocks have been in a downward trend in the past few days as concerns about cryptocurrencies continued. Precisely, they have dropped sharply as Bitcoin has dropped from the year-to-date high of $31,000 to $26,000. Sadly, the situation could get worse since Bitcoin is about to form a death cross pattern. This pattern happens when an assets 200-day and 50-day exponential moving averages (EMA) are about to make a crossover. In most periods, the death cross is usually followed by more downsides. Notably, the US dollar index (DXY) is also about to form a golden cross pattern, pointing to more upside in the near term. If this happens, it means that the dollar index will rise to over $106.

Binatikos ng upuan ng Ripple Labs si Biden, Gensler dahil sa pagiging screw up sa crypto

The United States legal system is set to bring the crypto industry “back in the game” after the Biden administration “screwed up” its crypto policy, says Ripple Labs chair and co-founder, Chris Larsen. Speaking to Bloomberg on Sept. 7 about his firms July partial victory over the Securities and Exchange Commission, Larsen argued the regulator lost on “everything that was important to [it] and important in the regulation of the industry.” “The U.S. screwed up here on crypto and blockchain policy. This is the beginning now through the courts, unfortunately instead of through regulators, to get that clarity and get us back in the game.” Larsen also commented on the latest court judgment in favor of Grayscale over its application to convert its Bitcoin (BTC) trust into a spot Bitcoin ETF, noting it “really admonished the SEC […] in a way that you dont really see very often.” I sincerely hope we‘re seeing the beginning of the end of the SEC’s policy of regulation by enforcement. The Courts are rejecting it, and now its time for Congress to take the lead on crypto policy. salamat @EdLudlow @teknolohiya for the chat! - Chris Larsen (@chrislarsensf) Septiyembre 6, 2023 Larsen argued the ruling was proof that SEC Chair

Belgian authorities have accused a London fintech business owner of using Binance to help launder hundreds of millions of euros into bitcoin for the benefit of criminals, including a Belgian drug lord known as the “finger cutter” and a Brazilian drug kingpin equivalent to Pablo Escobar. Marchesani is accused of managing 14 Binance accounts on Bressers’ behalf before he was arrested in February 2022. A Binance spokesperson said the crypto exchange has given “practical operational assistance” to authorities in relation to the investigation. Carvalho was known as “the Brazilian Pablo Escobar.” He was the kingpin for an international drug trafficking operation and was arrested in June, 2022.
