According to reports, Coinbase is in talks to buy Turkeys BtcTurk bitcoin exchange. According to Bloomberg, Coinbases action underlines the companys aspirations to grow its presence in developing nations. The transaction is expected to be worth roughly $3.2 billion and is in the final stages of completion. According to Bloomberg, Coinbase has signed the term sheet and is conducting technical due diligence. BtcTurk, which was founded in 2013, is one of Turkeys oldest cryptocurrency exchanges, with 4.5 million active members. According to CoinMarketCap data, BtcTurk has achieved $200 million in trade activity in the last 24 hours, compared to $179 million for its closest competitor, Paribu crypto exchange.
