Memetoro $MT on BNB Chains Sub-50ms Agentic L1: What Machine-Speed Trading Means for Fair Launches

The race to build faster blockchains is no longer just about processing more transactions. It is increasingly about preparing networks for autonomous AI agents that can trade, launch assets, and execute financial decisions without waiting for human input. $BNB Chains newly announced AI-focused Layer-1 reflects that shift, introducing infrastructure designed specifically for machine-speed execution. MemeToro ($MT), which already centers its ecosystem around AI-powered memecoin launches, the announcement raises an important question: what happens when both the blockchain and the application are built for autonomous agents? $BNB Chain Is Designing Infrastructure for the Agent Economy $BNB Chains latest roadmap introduces a new Layer-1 blockchain that will operate alongside $BNB Smart Chain, opBNB, and Greenfield rather than replacing them. The network continues using $BNB as its native asset while relying on a bridge that settles activity back to $BNB Smart Chain. Instead of redesigning consensus, developers have focused on improving execution. The goals are ambitious. The roadmap targets transaction preconfirmations below 50 milliseconds, sub-second block finality, and throughput exceeding 100,000 transactions per second, with longer-term ambitions reaching one million TPS. According to David Z., Chief Technology Officer at $BNB Chain: “The industry spent years solving for consensus and storage bottlenecks, but our execution engines still translate code sentence-by-sentence. eToro leads $12.5 million funding round for on-chain perpetual futures platform Extended

Trading platform eToro has led a $12.5 million strategic investment in Extended, an on-chain perpetual futures exchange founded by former Revolut employees, tying the deal to its recent acquisition of self-custody wallet Zengo. eToro invests in Extended to link perps with Zengo eToro announced the funding on July 2, with Jump Crypto also taking part in the funding round, according to The Block. The investment is related to eToro‘s acquisition of Zengo in April, a self-custodial wallet that uses multi-party computation (MPC) cryptography to eliminate the need for seed phrases to access a user’s funds. When the deal was made, Zengos valuation is estimated at $70 million. Extended is founded by former Revolut executives and launched public trading in late 2024. It runs on StarkWares StarkEx scaling infrastructure, a validity-rollup technology that allows for high-throughput, low-cost trading while settling transactions on the Ethereum blockchain, according to The Block. Though Extended has not disclosed metrics publicly (e.g., trading volume; open interest; total value locked; active users; post-funding valuation), the backing of eToro and Jump Crypto indicates that investors are confident in the companys infrastructure and long-term growth potential — rather than any size measures that may be publicly reported. EToro invests in onchain derivatives platform Extended as brokers race into DeFi

Digital broker eToro (ETOR) is doubling down on decentralized finance (DeFi) as online brokerages race to bring blockchain-based trading to mainstream investors. The company led a $12.5 million funding round for Extended, an onchain perpetual futures exchange founded by former employees of London-based fintech Revolut. Jump Crypto and Alber Blanc also participated in the round. The investment builds on eToros $70 million acquisition of self-custody wallet Zengo, announced in April, and offers a clearer picture of the companys onchain strategy. “We are seeing growing demand from our users for seamless access to DeFi products,” Elad Lavi, eToros executive vice president of corporate development and strategy, told CoinDesk. “Our recent acquisition of Zengo and our investment in Extended are key parts of our strategy to meet this demand and expand our Web3 ecosystem.” EToro plans to integrate Extendeds perpetual futures engine directly into the Zengo wallet, giving users access to onchain derivatives while retaining custody of their assets. Over time, the company plans to bring broader DeFi products into the core eToro platform, Lavi said. The race for onchain trading The move comes as competition among digital brokerages is shifting toward blockchain-based trading infrastructure. On Wednesday, rival broker Robinhood rolled out its own blockchain, expanded its tokenized stock
