The bitcoin miner is one of several who have gotten too close to forfeiting their positions on significant U.S. stock exchanges. Up to 180 days have been allowed to Digihost to fix the problem. In order to meet with Nasdaq listing requirements, the business must trade for $1 or even more daily for a minimum of ten days. In a document submitted on last Friday, Digihost claimed that notwithstanding the complaint, business has continued as normal at the business.
“The Companys business operations are not affected by the receipt of the Notification Letter, and the Company fully intends to resolve the deficiency and regain compliance with the Nasdaq Listing Rules,” Digihost stated during the filing.
Nasdaq has also closely scrutinized two other publicly traded miner businesses in addition to Digihost. Better stock performance is necessary for public miners Mawson Infrastructure Group and BIT Mining to maintain their registrations on Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), separately.
Only a few businesses have been selling barely above that level, and three other businesses dropped below it just last week.
Many businesses risk being delisted from Nasdaq if the stock value does not increase to over $1 per share.
The coin's price, which has decreased by roughly 50% over the recent six months and by over 70% since reaching another all high of about $67,550 in November of last year, is tied to the share price decline.
The burden was also increased by growing power prices, which have reduced bitcoin miners' income and caused mine complexity to soar by 13.55% last week to an all-time high. Stratum V2 protocol acceptance has been pushed for last week by a consortium of cryptocurrency companies led by Braiins, a provider of Bitcoin mining techniques, and Spiral, a Block Inc. subsidiary that finances Bitcoin innovation.
According to a joint declaration form Braiins and Spiral, the update from Stratum V1 would enhance security for miners and the infrastructure, assist in further decentralizing the system, and communicate better.
The second iteration of Stratum (V2) is expected to include various protocol enhancements, such as censoring resistance and the ability for miners to select their own work rather than having loads allotted to them by pools, both of which would enhance the decentralization of the Bitcoin blockchain. The change, according to the research, is required to accommodate an increase in pooled mining and additional hashrate increases.
The work group is currently concentrating on developing and disseminating tools to enable all mining companies to quickly and painlessly transition to Stratum V2 protocol.
The work group has made the first iteration of an open-source Stratum V2 reference model (SRI) available for testing, as stated in the announcement. According to the report, the SRI will permit anyone to use Stratum V2 and operate the improved interface or use it as a model for their own version.
