9 Bouts Official For UFC Vegas 120: Gamrot Vs. Salkilld Fight Card

Lời nói đầu:UFC Vegas 120, the only Las Vegas card among five August UFC events, takes place August 8 at the Meta Apex with nine bouts announced. The main event features a pivotal lightweight clash between No. 8-ranked Mateusz Gamrot (26-4) and No. 12 Quillan Salkilld (12-1). Gamrot, a former KSW champion with bonus-filled UFC runs, rebounded from an October 2025 submission loss to Charles Oliveira by stopping Esteban Ribovics in April. Salkilld earned his UFC contract on the Contender Series, then delivered three first-round stoppage wins—over Haqparast, Mullarkey, and Dariush—each earning Performance of the Night. Both fighters enter with momentum, making this a critical 155-pound matchup.

The UFC has a busy month scheduled for August. The fight promotion is set to hold five events on five Saturdays with only one of those fight cards taking place in Las Vegas. That Vegas show, UFC Vegas 120 takes place on Saturday, August 8 at the Meta Apex. In the main event, top-15 ranked lightweight contenders Mateusz Gamrot and Quillan Salkilld meet in a pivotal 155-pound battle. The UFC recently announced nine official matchups for UFC Vegas 120.

Mateusz Gamrot (26-4-0-1) has been with the UFC since 2020, when he signed with the promotion after winning and defending the KSW lightweight title. The UFC initially had Gamrot as a late replacement for Renato Moicano against Magomed Mustafaev, but Gamrot faced fellow UFC newcomer on that UFC Fight Night card. The two won “Fight of the Night” honors, with Mustafaev winning the bout by split decision.

Gamrot bounced back from that loss, the first of his career, with four straight UFC wins. He picked up stoppages over Scott Holtzman, Jeremy Stephens, Carlos Diego Ferreira, and a decision over Arman Tsarukyan during that stretch, earning three fight-night bonus awards, and the No. 9 lightweight ranking.

Gamrots winning streak ended in October 2022 when the No. 6 ranked Beneil Dariush defeated him by unanimous decision on the UFC 280 pay-per-view card.

Following that setback, Gamrot put together a three-fight winning streak, but lost to Dan Hooker in a Fight of the Night decision on the UFC 305 main card.

Gamrot bounced back from that setback with a May decision win in a three-round matchup opposite Ľudovít Klein. However, he dropped back into the loss column in October 2025, falling to Charles Oliveira via submission in a main event of a UFC Fight Night in Brazil.

In his most recent fight, in April, Gamrot stopped Esteban Ribovics via submission on the prelims of UFC 327.

Gamrot is the No. 8 ranked UFC 155-pounder.

Salkilld (12-1) scored a UFC deal with a decision win in one of the better fights from the 2024 Dana Whites Contender Series bouts. He followed that with a 19-second knockout win over Anshul Jubli at UFC 312, winning a “Performance of the Night” bonus in the opening fight of the pay-per-view card.

In his next outing, Salkilld went the distance, winning a decision over Yanal Ashmouz at UFC 316. Since then, Salkilld has not seen the judges scorecards, picking up stoppage victories over Nasrat Haqparast (KO), Jamie Mullarkey (submission), and Beneil Dariush (TKO). None of those fights went beyond the 3:29 mark of the first round, and the UFC awarded Salkilld “Performance of the Night” bonuses for each of those three recent victories.

Salkilld, who has not fought in Vegas since his appearance on the DWCS card, is the No. 12 ranked UFC lightweight.
