Key Insights:

  • BlackRocks IBIT attracts $3.7B this quarter as Crypto ETFs demand rebounds.
  • U.S. Bitcoin ETFs add $3.8B in three weeks, cutting 2026 losses to $1B.
  • Ethereum ETFs post 10,330 ETH inflows as BlackRocks ETHA leads demand.

Crypto ETFs have regained momentum as BlackRocks iShares Bitcoin Trust drew about $3.7 billion this quarter. The inflows put IBIT on track for its strongest quarterly intake since the third quarter of 2025.

September has already delivered $459.8 million, following roughly $3 billion during August. That August total marked IBITs strongest monthly inflow since October 2025.

The renewed demand lifted IBIT‘s assets under management to about $62.6 billion. That level sits near the fund’s highest point since mid-May. Since July began, IBITs assets have increased by roughly $19.6 billion, or 46%. However, the fund remains below its earlier peak near $100 billion.

Crypto ETFs Recover After Heavy Summer Redemptions

The IBIT recovery forms part of a wider rebound across U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF products. Bitcoin ETFs attracted $3.52 billion during August, their strongest monthly performance of 2026.

The recovery continued into early September, extending a three-week inflow streak. Those three weeks brought approximately $3.8 billion into the category.

The week ending September 5 added another $986.9 million in net inflows. September 3 alone produced $730.9 million in net inflows. Those inflows reduced the sectors 2026 net deficit to roughly $1 billion. The gain followed large redemptions earlier in the year.

June created the largest setback, with roughly $4.5 billion leaving U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs. May also recorded heavy withdrawals, adding to the midyear pressure on the category. The inflows in the following August and September have narrowed that gap much further. Still, the 2026 total remained negative after the recent recovery.

BlackRock Leads the Bitcoin Crypto ETF Rebound

BlackRock‘s IBIT remains the largest individual Bitcoin ETF within the U.S. market. Its latest quarterly inflows totaled approximately $3.66 billion, reversing earlier negative inflows. IBIT’s assets recently rebounded from levels near $47 billion to about $62.64 billion. That increase followed the latest recovery in fund inflows.

Since the U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs launched on January 11, 2024, cumulative inflows reached about $55.6 billion. The category now holds approximately $101.3 billion in total assets under management.

Fidelitys Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund has also contributed to the recent recovery. ARK 21Shares and Bitwise products remain part of the U.S. market.

Grayscales GBTC, however, has continued to record redemptions. That pattern contrasts with fresh capital entering several competing products. IBIT has recorded the largest asset base among individual funds. Its latest inflows have therefore contributed heavily to the recent category recovery.

Ethereum ETF Flows Add to Recent Activity

Ethereum ETF activity also recorded positive net flows during the same period. U.S. Ethereum ETFs posted 10,330 ETH in combined net inflows on September 4. BlackRock‘s ETHA led the group, adding 29,600 ETH in reported net inflows. Bitwise’s ETHB followed with 6,540 ETH.

Fidelity‘s FETH moved in the opposite direction, recording withdrawals of 19,270 ETH. The fund-level figures produced a positive combined total for Ethereum ETFs despite Fidelity’s withdrawals. Meanwhile, Bitcoin ETF inflows continued narrowing the categorys earlier 2026 deficit. IBIT remained the largest fund during that recovery.

For Crypto ETFs, the latest figures show a change from the summer redemption period. IBITs quarterly intake and August performance placed BlackRock at the center of that rebound. Bitcoin ETFs still remained about $1 billion submerged for 2026 despite recent inflows.
