The Philadelphia 76ers forward shared a 14-second video on X and Instagram on Saturday. He captioned the clip, “Welcome to Polymarket HQ. Coming soon,” while identifying it as a partnership with Polymarket.
The video provides few details about the deal. It remains unclear whether James will appear in Polymarket advertising or take on a broader role. Polymarket reposted the video and thanked James for visiting its headquarters.
James Free Agency Drew Heavy Trading
The teaser follows James recent free-agency decision, which generated about $273 million in prediction-market trading. Traders largely failed to anticipate his move to Philadelphia.

Polymarket is also facing legal pressure over its sports contracts. About 20 states have brought cases involving Polymarket, Kalshi, or both. The states claim some of these contracts amount to illegal sports betting. The companies disagree and argue that their contracts fall under federal financial-market rules.
