MARA bets $1.5 billion on Ohio power plant to anchor flagship AI campus

MARA Holdings, a publicly traded energy and compute infrastructure firm, is spending $1.5 billion to buy a natural gas power plant in Ohio. The deal, announced today, is one of the clearest signals yet that the boundary between crypto mining companies and energy companies is disappearing. The target is Long Ridge Energy & Power, a subsidiary of FTAI Infrastructure that operates a 505-megawatt combined-cycle gas turbine plant in Hannibal, Ohio. The transaction includes roughly $785 million in assumed debt, backstopped by a bridge loan from Barclays. MARA gets the power plant, over 1,600 acres of contiguous land, rail infrastructure, water access, fiber connectivity, and a fuel supply pipeline. The economics Long Ridge is expected to generate roughly $144 million in annualized adjusted EBITDA, operating at under $15 per megawatt-hour in all-in costs. The acquisition will increase MARA‘s owned and operated power capacity by approximately 65%, pushing the company’s total footprint to around 2.2 gigawatts across the PJM, ERCOT, SPP, and international markets. MARA already has a 200-megawatt data center co-located at the Long Ridge site, and the company says its fielding interest from investment-grade AI and critical IT tenants. Construction on an initial AI buildout is targeted to begin in the first half of 2027, with capacity expected

XRP Price Holds $1.38 as CLARITY Act Debate Lifts Market Focus

Senator Cynthia Lummis has warned that the current political window may not stay open. Her argument is simple: the House, Senate, and White House rarely align on crypto policy. It could also make listed products easier to structure, especially when exchanges cite XRP in rule filings. If the bill is delayed, the next Congress could pick up the process, delaying major legislation until 2030. For those tracking XRP prices, timing is everything. Certainty would help address regulatory concerns about assets used for payment and tokenized markets. The market has not priced that outcome with confidence. XRP is still trading like a range-bound asset. A break above $1.40 may ease immediate pressure, but $1.42 remains the level bulls need to reclaim. XRP Price Faces $1.42 Test After Whale Accumulation Recent market data also points to mixed positioning. XRP futures open interest rose in the last 24 hours, showing fresh activity in derivatives. Whale flow has also improved, while exchange supply signals suggest some holders are moving tokens away from trading venues. That backdrop has supported the XRP price near $1.39, even as trading volume softened. The 24-hour range between $1.37 and $1.40 shows hesitation ahead of the Federal Reserve rate decision. Macro caution still matters because

DOGE Technical Analysis Apr 30

DOGE is maintaining its short-term uptrend with HH/HL structure, but the risk of structure break (BOS) is becoming prominent as it approaches the $0.12 resistance. Critical support levels must be tested for trend continuation, otherwise a CHoCH signal may emerge. Market Structure Overview DOGEs current market structure shows a pattern of higher highs (HH) and higher lows (HL), reflecting the short-term uptrend. While trading at $0.11, it managed to stay above EMA20 ($0.10) despite a 24-hour drop of %3.95, supporting the short-term bullish structure. However, the Supertrend indicator is giving a bearish signal, and the $0.12 resistance stands as a strong barrier. RSI at 70.18 is in overbought territory, while MACD maintains bullish momentum with a positive histogram. In the multi-timeframe (MTF) structure, the 1D chart highlights 2 support and 3 resistance levels, while 3D and 1W show a neutral outlook. Overall, the structure is bullish but fragile; a break below $0.1016 support would increase the risk of transitioning to LH/LL. Trend Analysis: Uptrend or Downtrend?Uptrend Signals The uptrend is confirmed by recent higher highs and higher lows. For example, the $0.1016 swing low (score: 79/100) is positioned higher than previous lows, and the price has held above this level, preserving the HL structure.

Shiba Inu Whale Accumulation and Rising Open Interest Signal Breakout

Tech Shiba Inu Whale Accumulation and Rising Open Interest Signal Breakout Shiba Inu is at $0.000006261 at the time of writing, navigating a tense technical setup where derivatives activity is accelerating, and large holders are positioning for a move. The meme coin remains under significant macro pressure but is showing signs that sophisticated traders expect a directional break. The broader trend is undeniably negative. SHIB sits roughly 17% below its and is down 24.6% year-to-date. Its annual decline stands at 54.15%. These figures set a difficult backdrop for any bullish narrative. Short-term signals, however, offer a more nuanced picture. SHIB gained 1.7% over 24 hours. Its RSI remains neutral at 54.45, and the 24-hour MACD has flipped bullish. Weekly performance is nearly flat at 0.1%, but that stagnation coincides with a sharp uptick in derivatives activity, a combination that rarely goes unnoticed by market observers. Open Interest Climbs as Spot Volume Fades The most telling data point is the divergence between open interest and spot volume. SHIBs open interest rose to $37.63 million, a 15.73% weekly gain. Spot volume, by contrast, dropped 11.49% to $32.99 million over the same period. This split matters. Futures traders are building positions while spot buyers step back. The result is what

The Accidental Conversation That Became Fuutura

The architectural choice that gives Fuutura its character is harder to see from the outside but is the part Oliver and Ellis spent the most time thinking about. Most crypto platforms operate perimeter-compliance. Fuutura records verifiable confirmation of KYC and AML on-chain as an immutable identity attestation tied to the users wallet. Every interaction with the platform, opening the wallet, accessing the exchange, executing a trade is gated by the presence of that attestation at the smart-contract level. The result is compliance that is enforceable on every transaction and auditable by regulators at the on-chain level in a way impossible for perimeter compliance. That visibility is the posture Fuutura has chosen toward regulators. The company is building in a moment when governments across the Global South are writing digital asset frameworks for the first time, and the relationship between innovators and regulators in this industry is still being defined. Fuutura‘s view is that the platforms which earn regulators’ trust will be the ones that make their work easier, with architecture that is open to inspection by default and a company posture that welcomes the questions responsible oversight requires. Whether that approach proves out commercially is a question only the next few years

The Most Popular Payment Methods in Gaming

As digital entertainment continues to grow, adults who enjoy online gaming have become increasingly selective about the payment methods they use. Security, convenience, and reliability are the main priorities, especially for those who explore a range of platforms, including categories such as online slots. Many adults who browse online slots at different providers also take an interest in how payment systems work behind the scenes. Understanding the most popular payment methods helps players make informed decisions about how they manage their online activity. Debit Cards as a Leading Choice Debit cards remain one of the most widely used payment methods in online gaming. They are familiar, easy to use, and supported by virtually all regulated platforms. Adults who explore online slots or other digital entertainment options often prefer debit cards because they offer a straightforward way to manage spending. Transactions are processed quickly, and users can easily track their activity through their banking app. Regulated gaming platforms typically require strong verification processes when using debit cards, which adds an extra layer of security. This ensures that payments are handled responsibly and that only adults can access the services. E Wallets for Speed and Convenience E wallets have become increasingly popular among adults who enjoy online

Ripple has opened a new regional headquarters for the Middle East and Africa inside the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the company confirmed Wednesday, creating capacity to double the size of its local operations as demand for regulated blockchain payment infrastructure across the region continues to grow. The move marks a step up from Ripple‘s existing Dubai presence, which dates back to 2020 when the company first established its MEA base in the emirate. Clients already operating through Ripple’s Middle East infrastructure include Zand Bank, Ctrl Alt, Garanti BBVA, Absa Bank, and Chipper Cash. The Regulatory Foundation The expansion is built on a regulatory record that Ripple has been assembling in the UAE for several years. In March 2025, the company became the first blockchain payments provider to receive full licensing from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), clearing the way for regulated cross-border digital payment services to be delivered directly from within the DIFC. The DFSA also approved
