Etherlink Tezos EVM Goes Live on Dune for Onchain Analytics
Etherlink, the EVM-compatible Layer 2 built on Tezos Smart Rollup technology, is now available for analysis on Dune. This integration enables researchers, developers, and institutions to explore Etherlink‘s onchain activity alongside other major blockchain networks, using Dune’s standardized SQL-based analytics. Launched as one of the first enshrined optimistic rollups, Etherlink combines Ethereum-level tooling compatibility with Tezos liquid proof-of-stake consensus. Key design features include enshrined rollup architecture, EVM equivalence for seamless Solidity contract deployment, and low transaction costs averaging $0.001 with sub-second confirmation times. Etherlink‘s unique approach as an enshrined rollup means its core infrastructure—validation logic, fraud-proof systems, and message processing—is embedded directly into Tezos’ Layer 1 protocol. This eliminates reliance on external contracts, enhancing security and governance. Upgrades to Etherlink are governed by Tezos‘ decentralized, on-chain voting mechanism, giving the network’s bakers the final say on key changes. Developers can deploy standard Ethereum tooling such as MetaMask, Hardhat, and The Graph on Etherlink, with fees paid in tez (Tezos native token). Cross-chain interoperability is also a focus, with support for native bridging between Etherlink, Tezos L1, Ethereum, and other EVM networks via LayerZero and other solutions.
