Etherlink Tezos EVM Goes Live on Dune for Onchain Analytics

Etherlink, the EVM-compatible Layer 2 built on Tezos Smart Rollup technology, is now available for analysis on Dune. This integration enables researchers, developers, and institutions to explore Etherlink‘s onchain activity alongside other major blockchain networks, using Dune’s standardized SQL-based analytics. Launched as one of the first enshrined optimistic rollups, Etherlink combines Ethereum-level tooling compatibility with Tezos liquid proof-of-stake consensus. Key design features include enshrined rollup architecture, EVM equivalence for seamless Solidity contract deployment, and low transaction costs averaging $0.001 with sub-second confirmation times. Etherlink‘s unique approach as an enshrined rollup means its core infrastructure—validation logic, fraud-proof systems, and message processing—is embedded directly into Tezos’ Layer 1 protocol. This eliminates reliance on external contracts, enhancing security and governance. Upgrades to Etherlink are governed by Tezos‘ decentralized, on-chain voting mechanism, giving the network’s bakers the final say on key changes. Developers can deploy standard Ethereum tooling such as MetaMask, Hardhat, and The Graph on Etherlink, with fees paid in tez (Tezos native token). Cross-chain interoperability is also a focus, with support for native bridging between Etherlink, Tezos L1, Ethereum, and other EVM networks via LayerZero and other solutions. Since exiting beta in early 2025, Etherlink has attracted leading DeFi protocols, including Curve, Midas, Hanji, and Gearbox,

Crypto Stocks Surge As Senate Committee Advances Long-Stalled CLARITY Act

The Senate Banking Committee advanced the crypto industrys top legislative priority after nearly a year of gridlock and months of negotiations, sending crypto-exposed stocks rallying on the news, with Coinbase up roughly 9%, Strategy up 8% and Robinhood and Galaxy Digital both up 6%. AFP via Getty Images Key Facts The vote fell largely along party lines, with Arizona Democrat Ruben Gallego the lone member of his party crossing over to join all Republicans in support. The bills core function is to settle a years-long turf war between two federal agencies—the Securities and Exchange Commission, which regulates stocks, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, which regulates commodities like wheat and oil futures—neither of which had clear authority over crypto. CLARITY would allow most crypto tokens to get classified as “digital commodities” overseen by the CFTC, while a smaller subset deemed “securities” stay with the SEC, as well as requiring crypto exchanges to follow the same anti-money laundering rules that banks do. A long-running fight over stablecoins, crypto tokens pegged to the U.S. dollar, was resolved earlier this month with a compromise that allows stablecoin issuers like Circle to pay rewards to holders, but with restrictions designed to keep them from functioning as bank-deposit substitutes (that compromise

Space Leaders Worldwide May Fight SpaceX Lofting 1 Million Satellites

While Elon Musk stunned the world with plans to launch a million satellites into orbit, the heads of space agencies and spacecraft operators across the planet are certain to oppose this SpaceX scheme, says a pre-eminent space scholar. If the American Federal Aviation Administration even hinted it might approve the lift-off of a million-strong SpaceX mega-constellation, “I would expect immediate and very strong objections from satellite operators, astronomers, insurers, national space agencies, defense organizations, and foreign governments,” says Brian Hurley, a world-leading expert who chronicles the rapid-fire expansion of the modern space sector, and its rippling effects across the spheres of national security and international affairs. “The objections would not only come from China and Russia,” says Hurley, founder of the influential think tank New Space Economy, which also publishes a digital magazine. “They would likely come from U.S. and European operators too, because the risk is not contained inside the company proposing the system.” “Putting one million satellites into orbit would sharply increase the potential for inter-satellite collisions,” Hurley told me in an interview. VW Pics/Universal Images Group via Getty Images “At one-million-satellite scale, even tiny failure percentages become large absolute numbers. A 99.9% success rate still leaves 1,000 failed satellites.” Failed satellites that have lost

Some short sellers are seeing opportunity in this tech mania. How theyre spotting fake AI stocks

Short sellers are increasingly hunting for cracks beneath the stock markets artificial-intelligence frenzy, betting that some of the speculative excesses, copycat “AI” branding and vulnerable legacy business models could eventually unravel. As billions of dollars flood into data centers, semiconductors and AI software, some short sellers argue the rally is beginning to resemble previous speculative manias, where weaker companies rushed to attach themselves to the hottest market theme in hopes of attracting capital and retail traders. “A rising tide lifts all boats, and a twisting tide takes down a lot of names in the same neighborhood,” Joyce Meng, founder of Fact Capital, said during a panel discussion at Sohn Investment Conference this week in New York. “Especially in the market where you have an AI frenzy, everyone trying to go jump into that, one of our favorite themes is fake AI.” Meng said she likes to run screens to identify companies that abruptly rebranded themselves to capitalize on the boom, including firms that suddenly changed their names to include the word “AI.” One target that Meng identified using the “AI name change” screen is , which changed its name from Rezolve Group Limited in 2023. After digging deeper into the company, Meng said she

OpenAI Confirms Security Breach Linked to AI Malware Campaign

OpenAI said malware linked to the Shai-Hulud campaign infected two employee devices and gave attackers access to a small number of internal code storage systems. The company said it found no evidence that customer data, core systems, or company technology were affected. The disclosure follows earlier reports involving Microsoft and Mistral AI tied to the same broader malware campaign. OpenAI confirmed this week that hackers tied to the Shai-Hulud malware campaign breached parts of its internal development environment through a compromised open-source software package. The incident follows similar disclosures from Mistral AI as hackers increasingly target software tools used to build AI models and applications. In a blog post on Wednesday, OpenAI said hackers compromised TanStack npm, a software tool developers use to download and manage coding packages. The company said malware infected two employee devices, and gave attackers access to a small number of internal code storage systems before OpenAI stopped the activity. “We observed activity consistent with the malwares publicly described behavior, including unauthorized access and credential-focused exfiltration activity, in a limited subset of internal source code repositories to which the two impacted employees had access,” OpenAI wrote. The company said it found no evidence that customer data, production systems, or intellectual property were

Cardano Whales Hold 25B ADA as Analyst Sees Rally to $0.42

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez also shared a bullish outlook for Cardano, stating that ADA could be preparing for a new rally after months of heavy downside pressure. Martinez explained that the SuperTrend indicator, which flashed a sell signal in September 2025 ahead of Cardanos 73% decline, has now turned bullish on the daily chart. According to the analyst, the fresh buy signal suggests that Cardanos local exhaustion phase may be ending, potentially opening the door for a trend reversal. Martinez expects ADA to first target the $0.33 resistance level if momentum continues building. Should the rally strengthen further, he believes Cardano could extend gains toward the $0.42 zone. However, he warned that maintaining support at $0.25 remains critical for the bullish outlook. A breakdown below that level could delay any recovery attempt and weaken the current setup. Market Watches for Confirmation The combination of aggressive whale accumulation and improving technical indicators is now drawing attention from traders watching Cardanos next move. While ADA remains far below previous highs, the concentration of tokens among large holders may signal rising confidence that the asset is entering a potential recovery phase.
