Securitize Teams Up With Computershare to Tokenize U.S.-Listed Equities

Issuer-Sponsored Tokens enable direct equity ownership in token form, rather than synthetic wrappers sitting on top of underlying shares. Tokenization platform Securitize and Computershare, one of the worlds largest transfer agents, announced an agreement on Wednesday to enable U.S.-listed issuers to bring their equity onchain through a new construct called Issuer-Sponsored Tokens (ISTs). Under the deal, participating issuers can include ISTs as part of their issued capital alongside existing shares, including those held in the Direct Registration System (DRS). Computershare will serve as transfer agent for the tokenized holdings, processing corporate actions for ISTs in parallel with directly registered positions, according to a press release. Crucially, ISTs are not derivative wrappers. “ISTs do not rely on derivative tokens that sit on top of underlying shares, nor do they alter any underlying equity,” said Securitize co-founder and CEO Carlos Domingo, framing the structure as a way to create direct equity ownership in token form. That distinction matters in a market where most existing tokenized equity products, from Backed‘s xStocks to Dinari’s dShares, rely on synthetic representations backed 1:1 by deposited certificates rather than native onchain issuance. Nasdaqs own tokenized equities filing flagged the gap between wrapper-style products and tokens that confer the same shareholder rights

Humanity Protocol Surges Over 40% in a Week, But Why?

The clearest catalyst is what is happening to Humanity Protocol‘s closest competitor. Worldcoin, Sam Altman’s biometric identity token, has shed 98% of its peak market capitalization, falling from roughly $39 billion at its height to under $833 million today. Both projects are built around the same idea: proving online users are human rather than AI or bots. Worldcoin uses iris-scanning hardware. Humanity Protocol runs palm-scan biometrics on an Ethereum Layer 2, issuing zero-knowledge proofs under a self-sovereign identity framework that allows users to carry portable credentials across platforms without handing over raw biometric data to every new service they use. At the same time, public criticism intensified after Elon Musk referenced Sam Altman on April 27, amplifying an investigative report that cited internal OpenAI documents and raised concerns about safety practices. What Else Is Driving It Beyond the Worldcoin rotation, several factors are pushing H higher simultaneously. The AI identity narrative has sharpened, and Humanity Protocol is being positioned not as a vague AI-adjacent token but as essential infrastructure for verifying human identity. The projects mainnet launch has added real traction behind the narrative. An airdrop and incentive programs are bringing in new users and generating genuine on-chain activity. Computershare, which serves more than 25,000 companies and employs over 11,000 people worldwide, will act as transfer agent for client ISTs, processing corporate actions alongside traditional directly registered holdings. ISTs differ from derivative tokens that sit on top of underlying shares. Carlos Domingo, co-founder and CEO of Securitize, said the tokens create direct equity ownership in token form without altering the underlying equity itself. “By partnering with the largest transfer agent in the world, were helping to create the optimum pathway to tokenization for listed U.S. companies,” Domingo remarked. Securitize disclosed that it currently manages more than $4 billion in assets under management (AUM) as of April 2026. The company

Crypto markets predict XRP price for May 1, 2026

Crypto Crypto markets predict XRP price for May 1, 2026 Prediction markets suggest traders are leaning toward a modestly stable outlook for XRP heading into May 1. In this case, pricing on indicates a 78% probability that the token will close at or above $1.33 by 5 p.m. EDT, signaling strong confidence that prices will hold above that threshold despite volatility. On the other hand, contracts tied to XRP reaching at least $1.35 show a 66% implied probability, pointing to moderate optimism. Meanwhile, the likelihood of XRP climbing to $1.37 or higher drops to 43%, suggesting traders see limited upside in the near term. Overall, the underlying price action reflects this cautious sentiment amid the cryptocurrencys struggles to reclaim the crucial $1.40 resistance. XRP is heading into May while remaining well below its 2025 peak of approximately $3.65 and has largely oscillated between $1.30 and $1.50 for much of the year. A bright spot for XRP holders has been the performance of U.S. spot XRP ETFs. The funds recorded roughly $82 million in net inflows during April, the strongest monthly figure of 2026, fully reversing Marchs outflows and pushing cumulative inflows above $1.29 billion. Steady buying, particularly from products like Bitwise and Franklin Templeton, has occurred without significant outflows
