MORPHO seed investor sells $1.5 mln – Why price isnt collapsing yet

A Morpho seed investor transferred 750K $MORPHO tokens, worth roughly $1.5M, to Coinbase and Binance within 10 hours. This movement originated directly from the “Morpho: Seed Funding” wallet, signaling early investor distribution rather than organic market rotation. The allocation split showed 250K tokens, valued near $490K, moving to Coinbase, while 500K tokens, worth about $975K, flowed into Binance. Such transfers historically aligned with increased sell-side pressure as exchange balances rose. However, the market did not react with immediate downside expansion, suggesting partial absorption. Still, this behavior reflected a shift in positioning, where early holders reduced exposure, which typically introduced overhead supply during recovery attempts. Can $MORPHO hold its current range? $MORPHO traded within a defined structure, holding above the $1.80 support while repeatedly failing to reclaim the $2.10 resistance level. Price rebounded from the $1.50 demand zone earlier and climbed toward $2.00, yet rejection near $2.10 capped upside continuation. Recent candles showed compression just below resistance, reflecting indecision rather than breakout strength. This structure indicated that buyers maintained short-term control above $1.80, although they struggled to extend higher. If price continued respecting this range, consolidation would likely persist. However, repeated rejection at $2.10 suggested that upside expansion would require stronger demand to absorb supply introduced near current levels. Directional Movement

Tether-backed Oobit rolls out virtual Visa cards for AI agent USDT spending

Crypto wallet startup Oobit has launched a Visa-supported virtual card for AI agents to make online purchases in $USDT on behalf of businesses without human intervention. The “Agent Cards” are funded directly from stablecoin issuer Tethers treasury, meaning no fiat on-ramp or conversions are needed for AI agents to top up USDt ($USDT) balances and make online purchases, Oobit said on Thursday. The Tether-backed startup said the AI agents could use the cards to do anything from renewing a software-as-a-service subscription to topping up an advertising budget or even “spinning up cloud infrastructure at 3am because a workflow told it to.” They will also be able to trade crypto and stocks, Oobit advisor Alex Obchakevich added in a post on X. Source: Oobit Many crypto executives have shared the view that AI agents could become the dominant users of blockchain-based payments in the coming years. In April, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong predicted that “There will be more AI agents transacting online than humans very soon,” echoing comments from Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire in January that “literally billions of AI agents” will be transacting onchain in three to five years. Oobit took the prediction one step further, stating that the “next trillion users on the internet” would be

Eligible users can receive Circle’s USDC token on SOL detailed analysis or Polygon networks by linking their crypto wallets. The innovation announced on Meta‘s website signals the company’s return to crypto payments. This step shows the platform, which has long relied on traditional payment systems, is turning towards blockchain. Meta had previously abandoned its project, which started as Libra and evolved into Diem, in 2022 due to regulatory pressures. Now, it is integrating stablecoin payments through third-party providers; Stripe has been a leading candidate since February. The payment company will provide reporting services for crypto transactions to users and prepare tax documents together with Meta. A Stripe official confirmed their involvement. The service enables content creators to quickly receive their earnings via digital assets, expanding global reach. Other fintech players are also preparing for similar integrations. AVAX Price Prediction: $12 Target in Sight as Smart Money Builds 64% Long Exposure

Critical Juncture at $9.12 AVAX trades in a narrow consolidation zone around $9.12, testing the patience of both bulls and bears after a 2% daily decline. The token finds itself trapped between immediate support at $8.88 and resistance at $9.41, creating a textbook coiling pattern that typically precedes significant directional moves. Technical momentum indicators paint a neutral picture with neither buyers nor sellers gaining clear control. This sideways grind has compressed volatility to levels that historically mark the calm before major breakouts. The key question becomes whether AVAX can reclaim the $9.70 level that separates range-bound trading from bullish continuation. Derivatives Signal Major Move Coming Open interest surged 6.29% to $87 million over the past 24 hours, indicating major players are positioning for volatility. This expansion during sideways price action suggests informed money expects resolution soon. When institutional flows build positions during quiet periods, it often signals anticipation of catalysts that retail traders havent yet recognized. The options flow and futures positioning reveal a market preparing for upside rather than downside. Taker buy ratios remain elevated at 2.02, showing aggressive bid lifting that contrasts sharply with the subdued price action. This disconnect between buying pressure and price movement typically resolves with sharp moves higher. Smart Money

Gold advances above $4,600 amid safe-haven flows

Finance Gold advances above $4,600 amid safe-haven flows Gold price (XAU/USD) edges higher to near $4,630 during the early Asian session on Friday. The precious metal extends the rally as renewed tensions in the Middle East have prompted traders to return to a safe-haven asset. US President Donald Trump said he was sticking with a naval blockade of Iranian ports amid concerns the vital Strait of Hormuz would not reopen anytime soon, per Bloomberg. “Their economy is crashing, the blockade is incredible,” said Trump. “Their economy is a disaster. So well see how long they hold out.” Earlier on Thursday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that he considered the US naval blockade an “extension of military operations” and that it was “intolerable.” However, ongoing US–Iran tensions and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz could have fueled inflation fears and raised the bar for cutting rates. This, in turn, could weigh on the yellow metal. Gold is often used amid geopolitical uncertainty but does not yield interest, making it less attractive when interest rates are high. The US Federal Reserve (Fed) on Wednesday held its key policy rate steady, as widely expected. Fed Chair Jerome Powell said the economic outlook remained highly uncertain and that the

Jeff Merkley led Democrats asking the CFTC to ban event contracts in 5 categories, including sports.Merkley filed the letter on April 30, the final day of the CFTCs 45-day rulemaking input period.Sports drove 87% of Kalshis $39.7 billion in event-contract in the year ending February. Lawmakers Want the CFTC to Write a Rule Prohibiting Five Contract Categories The senators wrote that prediction-market platforms, including Kalshi and Polymarket, are seeing a “rapid erosion of integrity” in line with recent controversies and urged the agency to use its statutory authority to prevent insider trading and prohibit several broad contract categories. They argued election-related contracts create a financial incentive for political insiders to subvert voter intent and that sports-event contracts represent gambling that intrudes on state regulatory authority. The agencys rulemaking notice, published in the Federal Register on March 16, sought public input on which event-contract categories may be seen as contrary to the public interest, with comments due Thursday. Sports contracts have been the dominant volume category at Kalshi, accounting for roughly 87% of the $39.7 billion traded on the platform in the year ending February, according to a Congressional Research

CFTC AI tools replace staff cut by more than 20%

CFTC Chairman Michael Selig confirmed the agency is deploying AI tools to review crypto registration applications and monitor trading data, the first major US financial regulator to use artificial intelligence to compensate for a workforce cut of more than 20% under the Trump administrations federal staffing reductions.CFTC AI tools will flag incomplete applications, reject blank filings, and send inadequate submissions to the back of the queue without human review, with staff trained on Microsoft Copilot and in-house surveillance tools under development. The CFTCs Chicago enforcement office has no active lawyers left following a string of departures and retirements, raising bipartisan concerns in Congress about whether a 20% workforce cut is compatible with overseeing crypto and prediction markets simultaneously.Critics warn that AI-reviewed applications could create new compliance blind spots, since the agency has not disclosed how algorithmic errors will be identified, appealed, or corrected. CFTC AI deployment was confirmed by Chairman Michael Selig in an April 28 interview, when he told reporters the agency is building systems to automate registration reviews and flag applications containing blank spaces, inadequate descriptions, or clearly incorrect information. Crypto Integrated reported that Selig described AI as essential to the agencys ability to function given the workforce reductions, saying
