MIT students build a device that lets Claude AI control your hand with electric pulses

Tech MIT students build a device that lets Claude AI control your hand with electric pulses A group of MIT students just built a wearable device that lets an AI take the wheel on your hand. Literally. The system, called “Human Operator,” pairs Anthropic‘s Claude AI with electrical muscle stimulation to physically guide a user’s fingers and wrist through specific tasks. How it works Human Operator combines three technologies: Claude AI for reasoning and command interpretation, computer vision for understanding whats happening in front of the user, and electrical muscle stimulation, or EMS, to actually move the hand. EMS isn‘t new. Physical therapists have used it for decades to help patients recover motor function after strokes or injuries. The technology sends small electrical pulses to specific muscles, causing them to contract. What’s new here is hooking that mechanism up to an AI that can decide which muscles to fire and when. Here‘s how the loop works. A user speaks a command or presents a visual cue. Claude processes that input, determines the appropriate hand motion, and sends signals to the EMS device. The device then delivers electrical impulses that guide the user’s muscles in real time. The system also incorporates voice input, meaning users can verbally instruct

According to data from the Federal Election Commission, Clark has been the beneficiary of more than $4.2 million in spending on media by the Protect Progress PAC ahead of the primary, as crypto-aligned interest groups attempt to influence voters in key elections. Source: FEC Notably, Clark appeared to have deleted a social media post from March saying that “digital assets are the future and provide long-overdue financial tools for unbanked communities,” referencing the US Congress considering a crypto market structure bill. She also completed a questionnaire from the Coinbase-aligned organization Stand With Crypto, which said she was a candidate who “expressed strong support for establishing clear legislative and regulatory frameworks for digital assets in the United States.” Protect Progress and its affiliates Fairshake and Defend American Jobs are expected to spend millions of dollars in 2026 to support

VC warns PwC, Accenture: deploying OpenAI, Anthropic is letting the fox in the hen house

Chamath Palihapitiya says consulting giants are helping OpenAI and Anthropic build the firms that may replace them.Chamath Palihapitiya says consulting giants like PwC and Accenture are endangering their own businesses by directly embedding OpenAI or Anthropic tools without maintaining control over token generation.OpenAI launched the OpenAI Deployment Company with over $4 billion in funding at a $10 billion valuation, while Anthropic raised $1.5 billion for a rival enterprise services venture — both directly competing with traditional consulting firms.Palihapitiyas own firm, 8090, has partnered with EY on an AI-native software delivery platform called EY.ai PDLC, which he says gives consultants the “control plane” needed to route AI tokens to any model provider. Billionaire venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya issued a stark warning to the consulting industry on May 17, calling out PwC and Accenture by name for what he describes as a self-defeating AI strategy — one that he says hands OpenAI and Anthropic the keys to their own replacement. If you are running a consulting business and you are deploying Anthropic or OpenAI directly into your organization (Im looking at you PwC and Accenture) you are letting the fox into the hen house. “If you are running a consulting business and you are deploying

Ethereum Price Prediction: ETH Faces Pressure as Layer-2 Activity Rises

ETH price pressured as Layer-2 growth raises concerns over Ethereum fee demand and burn.Analysts cite a bearish structure as ETH breaks a descending triangle and tests key support.Institutional moves and mixed forecasts add uncertainty, with ETH needing to reclaim key resistance for strength. Ethereum has been struggling again, but traders are now focused on something much bigger than another correction. A growing number of investors are starting to question whether Ethereums own Layer-2 success is slowly weakening demand for ETH itself. That discussion gained attention and AIXBT noted that most activity is now happening on Layer-2 networks like Base, Arbitrum, and Optimism, where transaction fees are far cheaper than Ethereum mainnet. Layer-2 growth and ETH demand pressure AIXBT shared that Ethereums scaling strategy may have created an unexpected problem. Networks like Base, Arbitrum, and Optimism are processing record transaction activity, but most users are no longer interacting with Ethereum mainnet directly because Layer-2 fees are dramatically cheaper. That matters because Ethereums burn mechanics depend heavily on activity happening on the main chain. As more transactions move to Layer-2 networks and settle in batches for very low costs, the amount of ETH being burned through fees has dropped sharply compared to earlier cycles. At the same time,

S&P 500 rally faces pressure as Wall Street warns of inflation risks

The S&P 500s rally this year has been the kind of run that makes investors feel smart. Earnings came in hot, mega-caps kept delivering, and the broader market rode the wave higher. But Wall Street strategists are now flagging a familiar villain that could unravel the whole thing: inflation. After months of relatively cooperative macro data, the inflation picture is getting murkier. Rising energy prices, climbing Treasury yields, and a market thats suddenly repricing rate expectations have combined to create the kind of environment where rallies go to get tested. The May 15 selloff told the story On May 15, the major indexes took a hit that captured the shifting mood. The Dow dropped 1%, the S&P 500 fell 1.25%, and the Nasdaq slid more than 1.5%. The catalyst was straightforward: surging energy prices stoked fears that inflation isnt done being a problem. Higher oil prices feed directly into consumer costs, transportation expenses, and corporate margins. When energy moves, everything downstream moves with it. Treasury yields rose in tandem, which is the market‘s way of saying it thinks the Federal Reserve might need to keep rates higher for longer than previously hoped. For equity investors, that’s not just an abstract concern. Higher yields make bonds

Iran’s Nobitex moved $2.3 billion through crypto networks tied to Trump

Nobitex, Irans biggest crypto exchange, handled at least $2.3 billion on Tron and BNB Chain since 2023, based on a blockchain investigation by Reuters. The two networks were built around Justin Sun and Changpeng Zhao, two crypto billionaires who also gave early support to World Liberty Financial, the Trump familys crypto project. The money kept running through those chains as the United States and Israel continue their war against Iran. Iranian users sent billions through chains linked to Sun and Zhao Since January 1, 2023, Nobitex handled more than $2 billion on Tron, and it also handled at least $317 million on BNB Chain, the network once known as Binance Smart Chain. Since Trumps war started in February, at least $22.6 million passed through Nobitex on BNB Chain, while at least $550,000 went through Tron. Nobitex is used by regular Iranians and sanctioned Iranian bodies, and it is allegedly controlled by two brothers from a powerful Iranian family with ties to Irans new supreme leader. But Nobitex has vehemently denied direct Iranian government ties, as well as helping the state, saying that any illegal funds that passed through its platform did so without approval or knowledge from management. Nevertheless, the exchange has been a major part of Irans

Bitcoin Repeating Previous Breakdown Structure—Is BTC Price Headed Toward $55K Next?

The post Bitcoin Repeating Previous Breakdown Structure—Is BTC Price Headed Toward $55K Next? appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News Bitcoin continues to trade under mounting long-term bearish pressure as the price struggles to reclaim crucial resistance zones after losing a major market structure earlier this year. Although the BTC price managed to trigger a short-term rebound from the recent lows, the broader weekly structure still resembles the previous breakdown pattern that triggered a nearly 25% correction. At the same time, concerns are growing across the market after Bitcoin once again moved above the Short-Term Holder Realized Price during an apparent bear-market phase. This setup historically precedes sharp downside moves. With momentum indicators weakening and liquidity inflows fading, traders are increasingly watching whether Bitcoin is preparing for another major leg down toward the $55,000 region. BTC Price Analysis: Bitcoin Faces a Rejection From Key Levels As seen in the chart above, the BTC price continues to trade within a developing bear flag structure after facing rejection near the $90,000 resistance zone. The recent recovery attempt failed to reclaim the upper resistance trend line, while the price has now slipped back below the mid-range support near $76,000. The structure closely resembles the previous breakdown pattern that

How Did Claude AI Help Recover 5 BTC Locked Crypto Wallet for 11Y?

A Bitcoin holder using the name cprkrn on X said he recovered 5 BTC from a wallet that had been inaccessible for more than 11 years after using Anthropics Claude AI to review old computer files and assist with the recovery process. The Bitcoin was worth close to $400,000 at a Bitcoin price near $79,622. The user said the funds had been locked after he changed a Blockchain.com wallet password years ago and later lost access to the correct credentials. Claude AI Helped Locate BTC Old Wallet Backup According to posts shared by cprkrn, the recovery began after he uploaded old college computer files, notes, and wallet-related data to Claude as a final attempt. The AI system reportedly identified an old encrypted wallet backup file among the stored material. The user said Claude then helped review the recovery workflow using btcrecover, an open-source tool widely used for crypto wallet password recovery. Screenshots posted to X showed Claude analyzing the decryption process and identifying how the tool handled password logic. The recovery depended on an old mnemonic and password information that the user said he had found in a college notebook. Claude reportedly helped match that information with the old wallet backup, allowing the user to
