UK Investors Can Now Buy XRP, SHIB, and Other Tokens via Robinhood

The company seeks to position itself as an all-in-one platform for British investors.

The rollout, announced Monday, will allow eligible UK customers to buy and sell cryptocurrencies directly via the Robinhood app alongside stocks and shares ISAs, equities, options and futures.

The service will be provided through Bitstamp, the UK-registered crypto-asset service provider acquired by Robinhood in 2025.

Robinhood said the crypto trading service will begin rolling out to eligible customers this week.

Among the assets available through the new offering are Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP and Hyperliquid (HYPE). Robinhood's broader crypto lineup includes popular tokens such as Shiba Inu (SHIB), Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX), Chainlink (LINK) and others.

UK investors can now access crypto without having to leave Robinhood's broader investment ecosystem.

The company is pitching the service as a lower-cost alternative to crypto-native platforms with zero fees for trading and no account-maintenance or custody fees. Network fees may still apply to blockchain transfers.

Robinhood said the launch is intended to address what it sees as shortcomings in the UK's existing crypto market. The company said some incumbent platforms rely on opaque pricing and wider spreads.

The company completed its acquisition of Bitstamp in June 2025, bringing the exchange's international customer base and crypto infrastructure into Robinhood. At the time, Robinhood said Bitstamp had more than 50 licenses and registrations globally and customers across Europe, the UK, the US and Asia.
