Amy, a 58-year-old coworking space operator from Salem, Massachusetts, created a personalized AI app called Wally to help her brother, Jamie, regain his voice after losing it to cancer surgery. Jamie, now 60, had his vocal cords removed during surgery at Brigham and Women‘s Hospital in Boston. Traditional assistive technology options proved unworkable, leading Amy to take matters into her own hands. With no coding experience, she used Manus to design Wally, an AI-powered app that integrates communication tools and entertainment features tailored specifically to her brother’s needs.
