Shiba Inu Alert: Fake Migration Scams Target Shibarium Users

요약:Shiba Inu users face a fresh scam warning as fraudulent token migration narratives spread. Community member and Shiba Eternity advisor Mazrael warned on X that scammers, including an account called "someonesmart," are promoting fake migration claims via Telegram, even posting group details in the Bone ShibaSwap group after muting official channels. Mazrael stressed these scammers have nothing to do with ShibaSwap or Shibarium and that no migration is currently taking place. Users should stick to legitimate tokens such as SHIB, BONE, LEASH, and TREAT, avoid approving unfamiliar contracts, and not swap holdings based on migration claims. A genuine LEASH v2 migration remains anticipated after a flaw in the original contract undermined its fixed supply, but no official date has been announced yet.

Shiba Inu users have received a fresh warning as fake token migration narratives emerge in the community.

In this regard, longtime Shiba Inu community member and Shiba Eternity game advisor Mazrael stated in an X post that scammers have been promoting fake migration information through Telegram channels.

Mazrael claimed that an account identified as 'someonesmart' has been promoting a Telegram group connected to fake migration claims. The individual, obviously a scammer, posted their Telegram group details in the Bone ShibaSwap Telegram group after sharing it on the Shibarium Telegram group.

“someonesmart has now also put their TG with a fake migration they put on the ShibariumTech TG in the Bone ShibaSwap TG (after muting our official channels and banning devs in the TG),” Mazrael wrote. “They have nothing to do with ShibaSwap or Shibarium,” he added.

In this light, Shiba Inu users are urged to use legitimate tokens in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, including SHIB, BONE, LEASH, and TREAT, as well as official channels.

Track Market Trends

Mazrael reiterates that “No migration is taking place,” adding, “If you want to stake your BONE on Shibarium or use your real tokens on ShibaSwap, you use the real tokens.”

Those staking BONE on Shibarium should not be persuaded to swap their holdings for an alleged replacement token simply because someone claims a migration is required. Likewise, ShibaSwap users should be particularly cautious of requests to approve unfamiliar contracts or move assets to an unfamiliar address.

LEASH v2 migration anticipated

A LEASH v2 migration is anticipated following the discovery of a hidden flaw in the original LEASH code that undermined its fixed-supply design. The original LEASH contract included a rebase mechanism that could alter supply under certain conditions, even after developers claimed the keys had been burned.

Following the fix, developers said the contract cannot mint new tokens under any circumstances and that the full supply of v2 has already been minted into a multisignature wallet.

During migration, v1 tokens will be locked or burned while v2 tokens will be released from the multisig in proportion to each holder's entitlement, but this is yet to be done, with no official date announced so far.
