Quick Take

  • The parent company of the Truth Social social media platform and Crypto.com are ending partnerships amid shifting priorities.
  • Crypto.coms native token CRO dropped slightly amid the announcement.

Trump Media, the parent company of Truth Social, and Crypto.com are ending two partnerships amid updated corporate strategies, according to a statement Friday.

Crypto.com said that the two companies had mutually decided to terminate their partnership to establish Trump Media Group CRO Strategy, Inc. as a result of “prevailing market conditions and shifting business and stakeholder priorities.”

Trump Media Group CRO Strategy, Inc. was essentially a proposed SPAC deal to create a new, publicly traded digital asset treasury company that accumulated CRO, Crypto.com's native token. In August 2025, Trump Media, Crypto.com, and Yorkville Acquisition Corp. agreed to turn Yorkville into a (CRO) treasury company.

Crypto.com also said it will no longer service Yorkvilles plans to offer ETFs. The companies had announced plans to launch multiple exchange-traded funds (ETFs) under the Truth.Fi brand, including multiple crypto ETFs.

“Yorkville Americas business and plans for its existing and future ETF offerings remain unchanged,” according to Crypto.com's announcement.

The crypto exchange's native token dropped slightly amid news of the Trump Media partnerships ending, and was down about 4% as of 4:40 p.m. EST, according to The Block's price data.

At the end of last year, Trump Media said it planned to distribute crypto tokens to shareholders in partnership with Crypto.com. The digital asset was intended to function as a rewards token.

Crypto wallets associated with Trump Media recently transferred 2,628 bitcoin to Crypto.com in two transactions on Saturday, per onchain data. A Trump Media spokesperson told The Block that the BTC was transferred but not sold.

Despite the pullback from its Crypto.com partnerships, Trump Media is still the 14th-largest public bitcoin treasury, holding over $600 million worth of BTC, according to BitcoinTreasuries.
