SEC Delays Decision On BlackRock’s Spot Ethereum ETF To March
The United States Securities and Exchange Commission has delayed its decision on BlackRocks spot Ethereum ETF to March. The commission also delayed Fidelitys application for a Fidelity Ethereum fund. BlackRock had filed for a spot Ethereum ETF, the iShares Ethereum Trust, in November 2023. If approved, the Ethereum ETF would give investors exposure to the worlds second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink stated in an interview that he sees considerable value in having an Ethereum ETF and added that the approval of such funds is a stepping stone toward tokenization.
