Kraken October 2026 Delistings: 13 Assets, Trading and Withdrawal Deadlines

Extracto:Kraken will stop trading and deposits for 13 assets on October 23, 2026, and withdrawals on January 29, 2027, before forced liquidation in February. Why liquidity matters.

Kraken's October 2026 delisting notice places 13 assets on a path toward forced liquidation in February 2027. Customers who leave their holdings on the venue after withdrawals close may receive far less than recent quoted prices, and Kraken expressly warns that some residual positions could produce minimal or no proceeds.

The exchange's English notice, last updated October 8, gives three dates: trading and deposits end October 23, 2026 at 14:00 UTC; withdrawals end January 29, 2027 at 15:00 UTC; and remaining balances are subject to automatic liquidation February 1–12, 2027. These are different operational events. A coin can still appear as a custodial balance after trading stops, but that does not mean a holder can later choose a market exit or expect a guaranteed conversion price.

Which assets are in the official batch?

The current English notice names BMB, ELX, APU, BDXN, DUCK, BOS, U, OBOL, IDEX, FIS, UXLINK, ALTHEA and NOBODY. That is 13 assets. The current accessible Norwegian and Chinese language pages contain the same list.

The matching language versions provide useful corroboration of the current batch. They do not establish what a future asset-specific notice might say, and they cannot replace checking account-specific venue restrictions. The confirmed October list should not be expanded with additional tickers based on a superseded translation or secondary reporting.

What changes at each deadline

Until October 23, 14:00 UTC

  • Phase: Until October 23, 14:00 UTC
  • Kraken's scheduled change: Trading and deposits remain scheduled to be available subject to normal account conditions
  • Holder consequence: A holder may still manage exposure through supported markets, but liquidity may already be thin

October 23 to January 29, 2027

  • Phase: October 23 to January 29, 2027
  • Kraken's scheduled change: Exchange trading/deposits disabled; withdrawals scheduled to remain available
  • Holder consequence: Asset ownership on the venue continues, but the main supported exit is moving coins to an external compatible destination

After January 29, 15:00 UTC

  • Phase: After January 29, 15:00 UTC
  • Kraken's scheduled change: Withdrawals disabled
  • Holder consequence: Ordinary transfer-out access is no longer offered under the notice

February 1–12, 2027

  • Phase: February 1–12, 2027
  • Kraken's scheduled change: Remaining positions liquidated automatically
  • Holder consequence: Kraken executes residual sales in whatever relevant liquidity remains; proceeds are not guaranteed

A customer cannot treat the January date as a promise that the original chain, bridge or destination wallet will still be operational. An onchain transfer sent after deposits are disabled may reach an address but fail to credit the Kraken account. That is why deposit and withdrawal directions must be read separately.

A delisting can become a liquidity event

Imagine a small-cap token with a quoted last price of $0.10 and a customer balance of 10,000 tokens. The displayed mark suggests $1,000 in notional value. If there are almost no executable bids when residual balances are finally liquidated, the actual proceeds can be substantially lower. Kraken's notice makes precisely this kind of market-liquidity caveat, without specifying outcomes for individual customers.

For holders, the relevant due-diligence questions are practical: Is the asset withdrawable today? Which network does the exchange support? Is the destination under the holder's control and compatible with that network? Is there actual market depth outside Kraken? Do not infer that a token's blockchain has ceased to exist merely because the exchange stops trading it. Equally, the existence of an external market is not proof that a particular holder can sell without large slippage.

A three-month withdrawal window can appear generous, but it is not a substitute for testing settlement. Network maintenance, unsupported bridges and malformed deposit details may matter more than the calendar when an asset has little remaining infrastructure.

What this notice proves

It proves that Kraken has published an exit schedule for these 13 assets and has explicitly warned of potentially negligible liquidation proceeds. It does not establish that Kraken as a whole is insolvent, that every affected asset is worthless, or that customers are already unable to withdraw ahead of the announced deadline. Those would require separate evidence.

The most valuable next update is a change to the exchange's own schedule, a new asset-specific support condition, or documented evidence about actual withdrawal availability. Until then, the important action is to assess original-asset exit options before a mandatory sale becomes the only remaining path.
