$7.26 Billion in August Alone: XRP Hits Six-Month High in Trading Volume

Zusammenfassung:XRP saw a massive rebound in its trading activity as its spot trading volume across all exchanges reached its highest level since February.

The massive XRP price rally seen last month was accompanied by a sharp rebound in its trading activities across all major exchanges, driving a notable surge in its spot trading volume during the month.

While August has marked the best-performing month for all major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and XRP, in 2026, the latest data from crypto analytics platform CryptoQuant showed liquidity massively returning to the token during the period.

XRP spot trading reclaims February highs

The data showed that Binance saw the highest activity surge, with XRP's spot trading volume in August climbing to over $7.26 billion on Binance alone.

While Binance emerged as the largest contributor to XRP's trading activity this month, other exchanges also saw substantial increases in the metric compared to previous months.

Notably, the data showed that XRP achieved the strongest monthly spot volume performance since February, reclaiming its six-month high.

Furthermore, Upbit followed closely, ranking second among the major XRP-trading exchanges, recording about $4.68 billion in XRP trading volume during the month.

Bithumb Korea, Bybit, and Gate.io followed with about $2.59 billion, $1.40 billion, and $1.33 billion, respectively, in August, and they also recorded remarkable increases in the metric.

XRP liquidity returns

Although the surge in the XRP spot trading volume is largely attributable to its parabolic price move during the month, it is important to note that the surge in trading activity also signifies growing liquidity.

While high trading volumes are usually recognized as clear evidence of improved liquidity, they allow larger buy and sell orders to move through the market with less impact on price.
